Employee Spotlight
In August of 2006, Jodi Adcock joined the San Angelo County Club staff as the front receptionist. Being a “jack of all trades,” Jodi helps every
department in any fashion needed daily. Among her various duties she still always finds time to greet each member and guest with a smile and a more
than positive attitude. Originally from Austin, Minnesota, Jodi has been living in San Angelo for over twenty years. Her hobbies
include spending time with her family, hanging out at the lake
and reading. Curtis refers to Jodi as the “gatekeeper” for
San Angelo Country Club and she exemplifies that every day.
If you see Jodi around the Club, please be sure to thank
her for her dedication and
service!
Survey says members are wanting to switch the
food minimum from monthly to quarterly!
You now have the choice to switch from monthly to quarterly once a
year! Please let the Front Office know by December 15th if you are
wanting to switch for 2017, if not you will remain monthly. All changes
will be effective January 1, 2017!

Thank you to all of the MGA Members that participated in
the MGA Tuesday Night Scrambles! We had great turnouts overall this summer and especially on the last
event. Congratulations to the team: Jim Bob Harris,
Danny Kiser, Michael Folmer, Scott Knox, and Cooper Hogg for winning the overall low score and the mystery
hole!! Winners of the Closest to the Pins were Andy Bostik on Hole #6 and Trey Dendy on Hole #2 and Long Drive
winners were Rush Seaver on Hole #5 and Danny Kiser on Hole #9.
Save the Date! The MGA Christmas party
will be December19th with cocktails starting at
6:30, dinner served at 7:00 and a dueling piano performance to follow!
All members are welcome!!

The Couples Tournament was a great success this year! The golf course was as beautiful as it has ever been. We had a rain delay Saturday but we were able to play 9 holes before coming in and
indulging ourselves in Chef Daniel’s delicious barbecue. We had our DJ, Todd Nichols, spinning some great dance and sing along tunes. Sunday was a beautiful day and topped the event off with a great
awards luncheon. Thanks to everyone that helped make this tournament what it is!

after play provided by the Women’s Golf Association!

We would like to congratulate Liz Albert’s 2.5
team on a wonderful USTA season!!
Liz, Miranda Houser, Kasi Halfman, Jen Herring, and Jenna Barnes won the local league in San
Angelo and then swept the field in Dallas at the Texas Sectionals. Last weekend in Mobile,
Alabama they represented our state in the National Championships. They went 2-0 on the
first day of competition defeating the
Southwest section and New England. On day 2 they lost 2-1 to the team from the Pacific
Northwest. Congratulations on a great showing
at Nationals and a great year of USTA tennis!!
