Video Diary: The goal of this project is to provide patients and families with an opportunity to reflect on and capture their thoughts, feelings and perceptions during a challenging and emotional time in their lives.

Blanket Buddies: Various SLCH departments gathered to make fleece tie-blankets for patients in the hospital. Blankets are distributed to departments through the gift in-kind program.

Musical Dining Experience: This project brings live music to the SLCH atrium every month during lunchtime. With a wide audience of inpatients, outpatients, family members, staff and hospital guests, the music can change moods, relieve stress and even help individuals focus.

Teen Prom: Nine inpatients and their dates attended the hospital’s first-ever teen prom. The Saturday night occasion included donated formal wear, make-up and nails, fun activities, dancing and more.

Jungle Distraction for Portable X-rays: The portable X-ray machines are scary for most kids, but thanks to some jungle-themed decoration, patients can focus on the fun images rather than the machine itself.
