Faithfulness – aman (Hebrew)

range of meanings- “to be firm, trustworthy, safe, faithful, reliable.”

Exodus 34:5-7 “the Lord, the Lord the

compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands and forgiving wickedness, rebellion, and sin.”

Of the 68 uses of faithfulness in the Bible, 38 of them are in Psalms alone.

Psalm 26:3 for I have always been mindful of

your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.

Psalm 36:5 Your love, LORD, reaches to the

heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

Psalm 40:11 Do not withhold your mercy from

me, LORD; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.

Psalm 57:3 He sends from heaven and saves

me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me— God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.

Psalm 86:11 Teach me your way, LORD, that I

may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

1 Corinthians 15:49 And just as we have borne

the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.
