Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum eligibility criteria are:– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited

college/university or an equivalent credential andat least two (2) years of demonstratedprofessional experience in the medicalpublications fieldor

– High school diploma (or equivalent) and at leastfive (5) years of demonstrated professionalexperience in the medical publications field

• 150-item, multiple-choice, computer-basedexam

• 3 hours to complete

• Administered at approved testing centersthroughout US and at a limited number ofEuropean sites

• Offered twice a year – February and Q3

• Fees: ISMPP Member Non-memberApplication $300 $400Exam $195 $290

Credentialing ExaminationOverview

• Complete an application and mail withpayment to test administrator at least 45 daysprior to start of testing window

• Receive email confirming eligibility

• Select test date and location

• Take the exam

• Receive results by mail 4-6 weeks after closeof testing window
