Your Friend in Hockey, Willy Huber Jr. Chair Midget Operating Committee & Corporate Sponsorship Waterloo Wolves Midget AAA Hockey
As I sit back and reflect on the 2013-2014 season, it would not have been possible without the assis-tance and support of many individuals.
On behalf of the Waterloo Wolves Midget AAA Hockey Team, Coaching Staff, and Wolves Oper-ating Committee, I would like to start off by thanking our generous and wonderful sponsors. Spon-sors, without your support there would be no Waterloo Wolves Midget AAA. Your support this season enabled the Wolves to travel to several tournaments, including Kelowna. This allowed the boys to enhance their hockey skills which they will take with them for years to come. Thank you for your support Sponsors!
A big thank you to our coaching staff; Jeff Brick – Head Coach, Paul Gaudet – Associate Coach, Tim Robb – Associate Coach, Norm Bonnell – Goalie Coach, Matt Posa – Head Trainer, and Chris McFarlane – Strength and Conditioning Coach. Also, big thank you to Kim Rennie, our amazing skate technician. Thank you for your continuous help.
Behind the scenes, our Wolves Operating Committee contributed a lot of their time in miscellane-ous projects to help the team this season. Thank you to Marnie Huber – Director of Parent Fund-raising, Gary Spark – Director of Operations, Jeff Brick – Head Coach, Sandi Henning – Director of Media & Advertising, Vicki Eckert – Wolfamania Chair, Deb Kaminski 2013-2014 Team Manag-er, and Debi Purcell – Billeting Rep. Thank you to all the parents who always lend a helping hand at games and events. I greatly appreciate all your help. Thank you.
Thank you to Waterloo Minor Hockey Association for their continued support in assisting the development of this great hockey club. Truly an honour to be part of such an amazing organization.
Last, but not least, I would like to congratulate the Waterloo Wolves Midget AAA Hockey Team on an awesome season. You all did an amazing job this season and should be very proud of yourselves. As I have said to the Wolves alumni in the past, Stanley Cups are won and lost. You all demonstrated what it means to be on a team and the passion you have for the game of hockey. Great job guys!
It has been an honour to have spent time with all the boys this season. I wish you all nothing but the best in your future endeavours. For those who will be coming back next season, I promise you another awesome one. Remember, once a wolf, always a wolf!
And fans… thank you for your support at the games, Facebook and Twitter. We greatly appreciate it! Again, thank you to everyone for your support this season.
The Year in Review 2013/14 was a very entertaining season for the Wolves. The Wolves finished the season in 4th place –
21 wins 6 losses 1 OTL 4 SOL for 47 pts. Cambridge & Windsor finished with 49 pts and London
had 48 pts. How close can you get?!! And another stat to be proud of is the team’s GA (goals against).
The Wolves allowed the fewest goals against this season: 82. That’s what paying attention to defence
and having great goaltending will do for a team.
This past season saw the team enter tournaments in Toronto, Ottawa, and Kelowna B.C. as well as host
the annual Gold Puck Tournament. The Wolves advanced to the Championship game in both the Gold
Puck and Kelowna Tournaments. … continued on page 3

The playoffs saw the battle of Kitchener-Waterloo in
Round One. Falling behind 4 pts to 2, the Wolf Pack
regrouped and rallied to come back to win the series 6
pts to 4.
In Round Two the Wolves’ opponent was a team they
usually meet in the finals: the London Jr Knights. It’s
always a close series with the Jr Knights. In this series
their armour began to rust but unfortunately for us they
―squeaked‖ by, winning the series 7 points to 5.
The 2013/14 season was a very successful one. Every-
one learned a lot, made new friends, and strengthened
existing friendships. As you go through your hockey
career and life in general you learn, adapt and remember
great and not so great events. Seasons spent with the
Waterloo Wolves Major Midget AAA Hockey Club are
always outstanding and will be always remembered.
Enjoy the off season. Good luck in your future endeavours and we look forward to having as many players as possible back next season.
— Greg Henning
Thanks for terrific season! Go Wolves GO!
