FAQsWhat Happens on the Trip?

Each day, we’ll sail to a different island and enjoy the beauty of the clear cerulean sea. See the Trekr Itinerary for full plans.

Will I Need To Do Anything On The Trek?

First and foremost, you need to be relaxed and enjoy yourself. That’s the point!

Second, during the trip, everyone will need to help keep the yacht organized. Also, the captain may need your help from time to time getting the boat ready to sail each morning and anchoring it in the evening.

Third, there are a few key responsibilities on each yacht:

1) Galley Master: Someone to take charge of ensuring the crew eats each day, as well as pre-orders provisions (food, drinks, etc) that will be on your yacht when you arrive. Trekr Adventures can help you with the process. We even have a sample food and drink list as a starting point. Most people start working with their groups in late summer to put this plan together.

2) Master of Coin: Someone who coordinates the boat funds.

What Do I Need To Bring?

Less is more! You’ll really only need a few swim suits, a pair of flip flops, two pairs of sunglasses (in case you gift a pair to mother ocean), and a hat. We’ll provide a full packing list closer to the trip. And, your passport!

Do I Need a Passport or Visa:

Passport: YES! Please make sure it’s valid for six months from the date of entry.

Visa: No.

FAQs

Where Do I Sleep?

Each person will sleep aboard the yacht each night.

How Will I Order Food for the Yacht?

Once registered, you and your yacht mates can choose the food and drink options available, place and order, and it will be ready for you when you arrive at the yacht.

How Do I Get to the Yacht?

If you’re landing at the Phuket International Airport (HKT) and have sent us your travel information, a taxi will meet you at the airport and take you to the marina which is the new Ao Po Grand Marina near Ao Po bay. If you are traveling to the marina yourself, please download the maps, driving directions, and marina phone number here. Without that information, many taxi drivers will take you to the wrong marina. Please note the marina office is open 8 am - 5 pm 7 days a week.

Do I need to know how to sail?

No, each yacht has an experienced skipper on board.
