The Elderly in Thailand
Elderly is a person who is 60 years and above and a Thai citizen(Elderly Act B.E. 2003)In 2011, elderly population totals to 7.7 million (12.19%). Needs for help of the elderly ;Activity for daily living, health care services, social and moral support and economic support. In 2010, employed elderly workforce was 2.51 million (35.75%)of the total elderly population (57 56% i i lt l t )(57.56% were in agricultural sectors)
