THAILAND
By Darcie
DAY ONEFirst we have to get up and get ready. Then we have to go to the airport in Melbourne. When we get there we will go straight to the hotel.
Emily and I had
so much fun in the car. We
played all the games possible!
We took this picture after we went on the elephant.
After we went on the elephants we decided to go out for tea to the Thai place across the road. The Thai food is very hot and spicy.
DAY THREEToday we are going to the national Bangkok Museum. In the brochures
it looked very good. When we got there we lesrnt so much about the history.
We took this picture at the start of the tour because they had no pictures inside. It was pretty cool.
DAY FOURToday we are flying to Phuket with Qantas
DAY FIVEToday is our first day in Phucket. On the way from the airport it seems quiet, peaceful and beautiful.
We were so tired when
we got to the hotel so
we all went to sleep.
DAY SIX
Today we are going diving at the island
of Racha Vai. The island is beautiful.
It will take 1-
130hour to get
out to a depth
of three to
thirty metres
vingDAY SEVEN
Today we are
going to Patong
beach. This is
what Emily chose
to do.
DAY EIGHTToday we are going to go on a tour that takes you every where in Phuket.
This golf course
is very pretty
The Elephant Temple
DAY NINEToday we are going to have a lay back day and have a relax by the pool. The pool looks great. Emily and I will have so much fun.
It will be nice to sleep in my own bed.
DAY 10Today we are returning to Australia. We all slept on the plain.
LOI KRA FESTIVALSThis festival is held in November when the rivers and tides are high. It is held at the full moon. What they do is they will say sorry for polluting the waters and for taking the water out to use for themselves.
THE NEW YEAR FESTIVALAt their new year festival, they basically play in the water and splash around and have water fights and just do anything with water.
WHAT THEY EAT?Well the elephant is a herbivore which means it can eat grass and leaves
HOW BIG ARE THEY?They can grow up to 2-4 metres and can weigh between 3000-5000 kg.
OTHER FACTS?When a baby elephant is born, it can weigh 100 kg.In the wild the average life span is 60 years. Their population is some where between 41,410-52,345. They call a group of elephants a herd.
BUDISMReligion plays an important part in a Thai person’s life.Budhism is a type of religion in Thailand that takes up about 95% of the Thai population.Budhism was found in the third century B.CIt was found and made in the capital Nakhon Pathom.If you are the king of Thailand you must be a Budhist.
