Simrath Singh Mangat, King's College Hospital, UK

Biography: Simrath Singh Mangat is a member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill. As a qualified dentist with a background in general practice and a master’s in pharmacy, he is well versed in the pharmacological effects of medications which can be causative in salivary gland disorders. His history in dental practice makes him well suited to understand the complexities of primary care, his experience in the OMFS department allows him to appreciate the entire patient and clinician journey.

Biography: Afnan Ibraheim has graduated from Barts and the London SMD with a BDS in 2016. She is a member of the faculty of Dental Surgery and has completed a Diploma in Primary Dental Care. She has worked at Guy’s Hospital and is currently a Dental Core Trainee in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Northwick Park Hospital.

Maryam Ismail, Northwick Park Hospital, UK

Biography: Maryam Ismail has completed her BDS at the University of Liverpool in 2016. Since, she has completed one year in general dental practice as a foundation trainee and 2 years as a hospital trainee. She is currently at dental core trainee in oral and maxillo-facial surgery at Northwick Park Hospital in London. She is particularly passionate about paediatric dentistry and orthodontics and her aim is to specialize in orthodontics.

He is a a member of the faculty of dental surgery and has obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Dental Care. He is in his second year of Oral and Maxillofacial training at Northwick Park Hospital, after completing a year at Kings College Hospital.

Mark C Perry, University of Western Ontario, Canada

Biography: Mark C Perry was born in Montreal, Quebec and raised in Toronto, Ontario. After completing dental school at the University of Western Ontario, he completed a general practice dental internship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. This internship provided him with advanced training in anesthesia, oral surgery, dental emergencies and the treatment of medically compromised patients. After completing the internship in July 1991. He began a solo practice with his wife, Sandra Ammonn, a Registered Restorative Dental Hygienist, in Kitchener, Ontario in 1997 and added a satellite practice in Elmira, Ontario in 2014.

Biography: Dr Hossam Nassar graduated in 1998, Cairo University. He had his master’s degree in fixed and removable prosthodontics, Cairo University in 2007 and got a doctor’s degree from Ain Shams University in 2011. He worked as an instructor of Removable Prosthodontics in O6U University (2002 till 2007). Biography: Effat Ahmed Abbass, Researcher Professor Founder and Former Head of Oral and Dental Department, Medical Division, (2002-2008) National Research Center. Dr Abbass earned her Bach. degree of Oral and Dental medicine, Cairo University in 1970, Master degree in Oral Medicine, Cairo University in 1973 and Ph.D. in Oral Medicine, Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Alexandria University, 1982.Professor Abbass has supervised several MD and PhD degrees and has published over 30 scientific publications in the topics of oral pathology, oral medicine, stem cells and tissue engineering. Foudda Homsy, Lebanese University

Biography: Dr Foudda Homsy pursued her dental education at the Antonine University from 1979 to 1982 and transferred to the University Libre de Bruxelles to earn the degree of Doctor in the year 1984. She joined the Lebanese University in 1984 and received the degree of bachelor’s in dental surgery in 1985. She pursued a DES (Diploma D ’études Superiuses) in Fixed Prostheses for three years (1994-1998) at Saint Joseph University. She joined the Lebanese University, Faculty of Dental Medicine as a faculty member from 2014 till present. She is the author of several international publications and lectures on the national level. She is an affiliate member in the Lebanese Dental and Prosthodontic Associations.

Jamal Naim, University of Palestine

Biography: Jamal Naim has completed his PhD from Free University to Berlin and the German Board in Orthodontics (Facarzt) from Charite in Berlin. He worked from 2003 to 2006 as a scientific researcher at the ortodontic department at the Charite in Berlin. From 2008 to 2018 he was the dean of the faculty of dentistry at the University of Palestine in Gaza. He has published about 6 papers as a coauthor in german speaking journals. Now he works as a lecturer at the University of Palestine and as a trainer in Orthodontics and aesthetic Dentistry in private sector. He is the Head of the dental comittee at the Palestinian Medical Council in Gaza. He owns the largest Dental Center in Gaza with 25 employees.

Biography: Dr Maria El Khoury graduated as Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1995 and holds a postgraduate Diploma in Oral Pathology from St. Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. She also completed a certificate in Virology and Immunology. She is currently in post as clinical assistant and instructor at the Oral and Maxillo-facial Radiology department at St. Joseph University. Dr. El Khoury is an active member of the Lebanese Dental Association since 2013.She owns a private clinic in Beirut and has given several local and international lectures (Sofia dental meeting 2016, AIO 2016, Georgian dental association 2017) on oral pathology and pediatric dentistry.

Michel karouni, Dental Implantologist

Biography: Dr Michel Karouni is a holder of a degree of dentistry, Implant surgery and prosthodontics from Paris 7 university. His private practice is exclusively devoted to the periodontology and the implant surgery. He is specialized in the advanced implant surgery and in bone grafting. He also wrote numerous national and international publications. Since 2010 he is instructor in the training institute for advanced implant surgery in Paris. Dr Karouni is a speaker at some international implantology congresses, and he is co-author of published articles on immediate loading and implantology in Europe.

Noushin Janbakhsh, Ilam University

Biography: Noushin Janbakhsh has completed his dental school at the age of 24 years from Isfahan University and postgraduate studies in periodontology and implantology from Shahid Beheshti University School of Dentistry. She is currently an assistant professor at Ilam University and has published research papers in the field of periodontology. She has presented the subject of gingival biotype and new techniques several times including EuroPerio 2018.

Nazila Ameli, Semnan University of Medical Sciences

Biography: Nazila Ameli has completed her undergraduate education in dentistry at the age of 24 from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and graduated from the same university in the Orthodontics specialty at the age of 28. She is the vice dean of research of Semnan dental school and an assistant professor of Orthodontics. She has published approximately 20 articles. She is Among the top 30 Iranian students passed the entrance exam (2005), and Among the top 3 Board Certified of Orthodontics.
