Whoever comes to Shalom House, if they really want the help, it is available. If you want to improve your life, Shalom House is for you." (Latrece, past resident) Shalom House, established in 1986, has a mission to Empower Women and Transform Lives. In each of the housing programs offered through Shalom House, the goal is to serve as a transformational center. Beginning with addressing basic needs of providing a bed, support with food, clothing, health and hygiene supplies, an average of 200 women and children are served annually at Shalom House through extensive case management, life success coaching, supportive programs and services, and a holistic approach towards long-term sustainability. In addition to emergency shelter services, there are two transitional housing programs: Shalom House After Care Rental Assistance Program (SHARP), designed to serve chronically disabled, chronically homeless women and SHARP VETS (specifically to address homelessness with women veterans). Each of these programs offers longer term, intensive case management and life success coaching support towards stability and independence. Among our added program services: Through Life Success Coaching and Occupational Therapy Services, we are committed to helping women and children see their futures with hope and promise, and to step into that future with the right tools and team support to achieve balance and independence in every area of life: financial, physical health, mental health, social, family and spiritual wellness. In order to help the Shalom House as much as possible, we are encouraging anyone who can to donate to their Wish List (including non- golfers). Any person who donates a gift valued at $25 or more to the Shalom House Wish List will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing for a prize of $100 or more.
