As the Product Line Architect and Functional Excellence Leader for CES, It's our pleasure to

announce that Alvaro Reyes is a recipient of the TFE Honorable Mention Award for Q4-2013.

This selection followed a thorough evaluation whereby managers captured evidence of exemplary

performance in the area of Functional Excellence (FE) using COS as a methodology. Alvaro was

nominated for Developing a new MR and HD SI SCR solution to be directly coupled to the DRP.

This problem was discovered after production Launch and extended to both MR and HD

products. This issue could have cost millions in recall losses and potential future business. That

is if cost effective solutions were not swiftly developed and implemented. Alvaro, who has only

been with CES for about a year, developed and validated a reliable step 6 solution in the matter

of a couple of months, while still managing his Natural Gas responsibilities. Alvaro worked

closely with KPIT, CRYI Performance, Mechanical Development, MFG, Sourcing, Current

Product, Design and the Analysis & Testing Technology teams. While implementing this step 6

solution, he also filed for 2 new patents in the process to improve our overall foothold on the

market.
