Texting in the classroom is having a negative effect on students grades and behavior because it is creating a distraction in their learning environment.

Texting can impact people socially by decreasing intimacy amongst people, as well as causing our language to slowly be at risk.

With all of the accidents filling the news, from a woman falling into a fountain, to the non-distracted driving campaigns, it has become apparent just how dangerous texting while in motion can be. (Davis)

The national number of fatalities caused by distracted driving increased by 28% from 2005 to 2008, with the number of fatalities rising 4572 to 5870 (Wilson

AT&T has begun a campaign to get people to pledge to not text and drive, and to educate people as to the dangers of distracted driving. (AT&T)

Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s Subcommittee on Highways and Transit has also met in a hearing in 2009 to discuss the problem of distracted driving. (C. United States)

What are the dangers of sexual texting?

- the origin of the question came from searching the topic of texting and I had goal of tackling the most taboo topic.

Sexual texting can result in socially damaging events.

Sending nude photos could result in forwarding or just out right reveal of private photos.

For men it could result in a number of legal penalties more specifically, Child Pornography in cases of underage persons and in other cases harassment.
