“A grupė” is a textile factory in Lithuania, established in 1990. The company has created good production potential due to the fact that it has great experience in weaving heavy terry and plain fabric. Our original production is rough and soft terry linen fabrics which we use in sewing products for bath and sauna.

We have adapted the ancient Lithuanian method of linen weaving to modern requirements and technologies. Our products reflect ancient Lithuanian traditions. We produce linen, half-linen fabrics, bath and sauna articles and house textile wares that will make your home more natural, original and traditional.

“A grupė” is one of the few companies in Europe that weave high-quality linen terry fabric and sew rough and soft articles for bath and sauna. Our main products are towels bathrobes, sauna skirts, caps, turbans, slippers, bathmats and other accessories bath and sauna. Our wares are very popular in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ukraine, Germany, France, Japan and other countries.

In 2011, “A grupė” acquired new weaving ma-chines and other technological equipment. The new machines are able to weave wider fabrics,

which is why we can now offer linen terry fabric at the maximum width of 2,60 m.

We are proud of our products that demonstrate the best characteristics of linen:

• Linen fabric refreshes during summer heat. Flax absorbs sudden temperature changes, which is why it is perfect for bath and sauna articles.

• Linen has outstanding moisture absorbency characteristics. After the bath, linen terry towels absorb moisture from the body better than terry towels made of cotton.

• Since linen is anti-static, it is especially recommended for people who are sensitive to static electricity charge.

• Linen is non-allergic. It makes the best micro-climate for skin and it is highly recommended for both children and adults.

• Linen fabric is friction-resistant. It will serve longer than analogous products made from other fibers, e. g. cotton.

• Linen is eco-friendly. Linen production does not cause any harm to the nature.

"Happy kids" product group con-sists of wonderfully soft linen terry products for children and babies. In order to keep natural properties of linen, it is softened only mechanical-ly. This unique high-quality collection has been inspired by non-allergic and very eco-friendly properties of linen. The shrinkage after the first wash-ing for this product group is usually 2-3%.

"prestige" collection consists of light products made of 100% linen waffle fabric and of terry fabric with a double effect: soft inside layer made of 100% cotton and rough or soft outside layer made of 100% linen. These products are friction-resistant, highly moisture-absorbent and long-lasting. The main weakness of this product group is greater shrinkage (8-10%) and some fi-ber shedding which can occur after the first wash.

"exclusiVe" product group consists of tender, specially softened products, whose composition is: loops – 100% linen, base – 100% cotton. Items in this line maintain their characteristics for a long time and are long-lasting. These linen products absorb moisture well, are anti-static and keep warmth. The shrink-age after the first wash for this group is usually 2-3%.

‘’natural" product group consists of rough products with massage ef-fect, whose composition is: loops – 100% linen, base – 100% cotton. These unique linen products mas-sage well, are non-static and keep warmth. The moisture absorption of this group is medium; for better absorption, the material should be fractioned with wet surface.

The main weakness of “natural” product group is its greater shrink-age (8-10%) and some fiber shed-ding that can occur after the first wash. Due to natural color variations of flax, from yellow to dark gray, dif-ferent product parties will have dif-fering colors.

• Automatic winder from Schalfhort - model “Autoconer 5 E/40”;

• Movable section warping machine (working width – 2600 mm) from Giovanelli SAS;

• Smit rapier weaving machines GS 920 – for weaving high-grade terry fabric with pile of linen yarn from 38 to 105 tex.
