Dear reader,
I’m
deeply flattered you took some tim
e to review m
y portfolio with the projects that I have
done throughout my current years as a student in the Textiles and A
pparel division at UT. T
his com
pilation reflects the final works of assigned projects from
Spring 2013- S
pring 2014 semesters.
Follow
ing are the details of each category in the Apparel D
esigns section: T

The A
pparel Com
pany Project :“C
hic Signora” is inspired on the high regards I hold tow
ards a target m
arket that is not often credited for their style, which is w
omen in their golden years.
I gathered my inspiration from
65 year-olds or older fashionistas who radiate vitality through
their garments and w
ise sense of style. The specific source of inspiration com
es from the
ladies in Ari S
eth Cohen’s blog, “A
dvanced Style.” T
he chosen fabrics include mostly
knitwear and decorative trim
s. This business w
ould consist of not only apparel but as well of
millinery as the m
ain products. •
Cotton Inc. and F
ruit of the Loom
Trend P
roject: “Stay D
ry” is based on the specification given by F
ruit of the Loom
to develop an underwear and casual w
ear collection for a family
of five, mother, father, daughter, and son. T
his collection has to depict the brand’s core characteristics: fun, stylish, budget, active, and com
fortable. I gathered inspiration mainly
from cotton used for lace, appliqués and m
esh, as well as from
a bright, almost neon
yellowish-green color.
• C
ultural Influenced Collection- “L
ykkeclectic,” the combination of L
ykke and Eclectic, w
ere inspired by pop S
wedish singer L
ykke Li w
hom I chose as m
y muse. T
his collection reflects a fun-yet-serious attitude w
ith a bit of mystery as w
ell as sensuality, as well as having the
synthesis of ethnic and urban. The m
ain fabrics used are leather, synthetic mesh, and w
oven. •
Mixed M
edia Project- “N
emesis” expanded the horizons regarding m
ethods to illustrate a design through the use of non-traditional m
edia to render an aesthetically attractive illustrated design board. P
urpose being to serve as an inspiration board for a collection or to promote a
particular style; in my case, rom
ance and boldness. •
Fabric R
endering & F
lat Production P
roject- “Citrus” w
as inspired by the chosen knitted fabric, in order to develop m
y skills of flat production and comm
unicate the construction of a garm
ent to the pattern and sample m
achinist. •
T-S
hirt Design- “F
iore” is inspired by nature’s blossom. O
n the front I illustrated the roots of a tree in tw
o different color schemes, and on the back I im
agined a construction where tw
o flaps opened along the shoulders as if blossom
ing, showing inside colors representative of
either spring or fall. The m
ost adequate fabric to accomplish this effect w
ould be neoprene. T
hank you for reading, I hope that the work I have invested so m
uch time into has a positive effect in
your criteria. All observations and com
ments are m
ore than welcom
