Text Editing ContinuedHere are a few other essential tags we can use when we are editing the text.

I. BOLD TEXT

You can add bold formatting to your text to give it more emphasis or make your page more

visually appealing. For example, you might make a company name bold in a paragraph or add

bold to a list of items.

To make text bold:

Type in front of the text you want to make your text bold.

Type at the end of the text.

II. ITALICIZED TEXT

You can add italics to your text to give it more emphasis or make your page more visually

appealing. For example, you might make a description under a heading italic to distinguish it

from the rest of the page. Common uses for italicized text include emphasizing a new term or

setting apart the title of a literary work.

To make text italic:

Type in front of the text you want to make your text italic.

Type at the end of the text.

III. UNDERLINED TEXT

You can add underlining to your text for added emphasis. For example, you might underline a

term or an important name. Use caution when applying underling to web pages, however, as

some users will mistake the underlined text for a hyperlink.

To add an underline to text:

Type in front of the text you want to underline.

Type at the end of the text.

IV. THE CENTER CODE

Another Method that we commonly use to emphasize information on a website is by Centering

Text on a webpage.

To Center text:

Type in front of the text you want to Center.

Type at the end of the text.
