Will the proposed use of funds drive improved results for students, including students in poverty, students with disabilities, and English Language Learners?

ARRA Title I funding must be expended for allowable Title I, Part A activities.
All ARRA Title I funded activities must be supplemental to state and local requirements.
All Title I programmatic requirements apply.
Activities must meet identified needs from the comprehensive needs assessment process and be identified in the Campus Improvement Plan.

The Title I campus must conduct the Title I comprehensive needs assessment to determine the identified needs to be met with the ARRA Title I funds.
The Title I campus maintains proper documentation of those identified needs.

Uses of IDEA-B ARRA Funds
Obtain state-of-the art assistive technology devices and provide training in their use to enhance access to the general curriculum for students with disabilities.
Provide intensive district-wide professional development for special education and regular education teachers that focuses on scaling-up, through replication, proven and innovative evidence-based school-wide strategies in reading, math, writing and science, and positive behavioral supports to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

Uses of IDEA-B ARRA Funds
Develop or expand the capacity to collect and use data to improve teaching and learning.
Expand the availability and range of inclusive placement options for preschoolers with disabilities by developing the capacity of public and private preschool programs to serve these children.
Hire transition coordinators to work with employers in the community to develop job placements for youths with disabilities.

LEAs may use funds for any activity authorized under ESEA, IDEA, Adult Ed, or Perkins, including modernization of school facilities

Purchases should be meaningful and aligned to the ARRA goals and principals.
All purchases must address current needs. Districts must submit quarterly reports to TEA,
funding contingent upon compliance.
