What is STaR Chart?
• A requirement by NCLB. This is a resource tool that will self assess for teachers and also assess the campus and district efforts to incorporate technology.
• The survey will assist in future planning for our growing district.

• Instruction is teacher facilitated and students work in peer groups.
• Technology is integrated into foundation area TEKS, teaching, & learning.
• 60% of educators meet SBEC standards & administration recognizes exemplary use of technology.

• 25-29% of budget allocated for technology
• Technical support to every 500 computers
• Full-time district technology director
• Direct connection to 75% or more of classrooms and library
Where Do We Go From Here to Meet Target Tech?
• Need for more technology supported learner-centered projects at least once a week.
• Provide ongoing professional development
• On-demand access for all students in all classrooms
• Implement the “Caught Ya” Using Technology Award
This is the Future
If we do not implement the use of technology we will be doing a disservice to our students…
and their future & ours!
