Texel’s exclusive Tex-R, technology involves coating a nonwoven membrane with SpinOut resin, which contains copper hydroxide. On contact with this surface, root ends naturally go into a dormant state. This phenomenon promotes the development of secondary roots, improving the entire root system while preventing root circling and emergence. In order to meet the needs of the various sectors of horticulture and landscaping, Texel has developed a wide range of products that use Tex-R technology. Tex-R products can be used for both weed control and root control applications.

TEX-R INDUSTRIAL, AN AFFORDABLE AND ECOLOGICAL SOLUTION TO INDUSTRIAL SITE MAINTENANCE:Tex-R Industrial combines the advantages of a permeable membrane used as a physical barrier under surface material with a SpinOut coating that induces weeds to enter a dormant state. Several studies, in particular for Hydro-Quebec, have shown Tex-R Industrial to be effective and environmentally-friendly.

It contains no hazardous materials, has a very low level of water solubility, is not volatile or flammable, presents very little toxicity for animals, is odourless, and requires no special conditions for handling and storage.
