An innovative approach to sound A sound experience should provide uncompromised quality and clarity for the guest, it should protect the local environment, and it should enhance and compliment the architectural design space. The Jbn Sound Ceiling is essentially a waterfall of sound, made up of a series of specifically designed speaker panels, consisting of up to 9 speakers assembled on each panel. When underneath the system you are immediately immersed in high quality sound. Plane wave technology (PWT) and the precise patented engineering manufactured into each sound tile creates the system directivity. Typical sound reduction values of 15 dB when 3m from the sound ceiling for an outdoor system and 10dB for an indoor system are achieved with the system. Compared to conventional speaker systems, the Jbn sound ceiling can achieve significant sound pressure reductions without the need for costly building renovations, sound barriers or walls. The Jbn system can be installed in flooring, suspended from the ceiling or installed as a wall and allows sound spaces to co-exist with lounges, sports bars, function rooms and retail in the same open plan. Noise complaints and license restrictions that may occur through neighboring residences can be prevented or reduced. How does it work? The system uses Plane Wave Technology (PWT), as opposed to spherical waveforms that emanate from traditional sound speakers, to achieve astounding reductions in sound propagation and bass frequency transference. Each panel used in the system is carefully engineered to ensure the highest quality waveform runs perfectly in phase. Essentially, all the speakers work in unison to create one giant speaker. When combined and housed over a dedicated area, the system acts as a waterfall, immersing the listener in high quality, full frequency sound. The unique audio directivity of the Jbn Sound Ceiling makes it possible for music levels to increase under the ceiling whilst reducing the sound emanating from the venue itself. Patrons are able to dance under the ceiling immersed in music at levels around 110dB while only 3 meters away the sound reduces to a comfortable 95dB. This protects bar staff from excessive levels of music, and enables both patrons and bar staff alike to converse with ease. It also allows venue owners to create multi audio zones in open plan layouts, separating sports bars and entertainment while protecting dining areas and keeping with license regulations. Whether the venue is indoors, outdoors, a rooftop bar, beer garden, nightclub, hotel or reception centre, the Jbn Sound Ceiling has proven to be a guaranteed sound solution in a diverse array of situations. In comparison to a conventional sound system where there is very little control over the distribution of sound, particularly the bass frequencies, the Jbn Sound Ceiling provides the ultimate solution to a universal problem faced by all entertainment venues. Integrating Jbn speaker tilesJbn speaker tiles are placed in a ceiling grid or can bebuilt in to a customer structure, fit for purpose. To obtainan optimal sound drop a minimum installation area of25m2 is recommended. The height from floor to ceilingcan range between 2.7m and 10m with a minimum airgap between the top of the Sound Ceiling tile and roofabove is 0.4m.Ensure local building codes are reviewed and met wheninstalling the product.

LAB2 Product SpecificationsLAB2 series comprises of nine, 6½ “dual cone drivers mounted on a 600mm square perforated plate. Minimum installation size starts at 9m2, however the ultimate size for optimal directivity is 23.04m2. Typical applications for this series include sports bars, TABs, function spaces, marquees and bars.
