8 th September 2014 To Whom It May Concern In Feburary of this year the Secon Group lost an instrumental person in the Business namely Terry Considine CEO. At that point in time, just before Terry’s death the Company was going through a process of putting together a Family Constitution. After Terry’s death we realized that there was a lot of holes in the work that was done and we realized that we needed a person of significant expertise in the field of Family Business to take control and sort out the issues amongst our family . I rang Nicola McKay From Family Business Australia and she recommended that I speak to Michael Burton from Lachlan Partners (now Shadforth Financial Group ). After having a meeting with Michael I could see just from what he was saying that we needed to align our self with him to bring together a family Constitution that was locked tight clear for everyone and above all ticked all the Legal boxes that needed to be done. We have now engaged Michael to oversee the Shareholders agreement working closely with our Solicitors that came to us under Michael’s recommendation. Having Michael involved in our family direction has been excellent, his knowledge base is second to none and without him guiding the ship would be detrimental to our Family Business. Having our 3 rd Generation of Considines come into the Business has thrown new challengers to us. Michael has helped to ensure that the family can now manager the onset of the 3 rd Gen coming in as well as set up the transition to have a viable exit plan and Succession Plan .
