Squibb & Sons, Manufacturers) the acidity or alkalinity of the mouth. Instruct them to soak sterile cotton swabs with sagva and apply to the paper. To determine the degree of acidity or alkalinity, compare the resulting color of the strip with the color chart provided by the manufacturer. A pH of seven indicates neutral mouth; below seven indicates acid mouth; and above seven indicates alkaline. Sup ly pupils with a strip of paper. RUTH RICH, ED.D.
