All rights reserved.When picked-up, the Link Tiltsand Single Joint Elevator arecentered with the CDS. Thejoint is lowered so that the pinend of the Casing is stabbedinto the stump.The CDS is then lowered intothe joint of Casing, stoppingbefore the Stop Bumper. 13. 2012 Tesco Corporation. All rights reserved.The CDS Operator then engages theactuator and the grapples will ramp outand grip the ID of the casing.Once the CDS is properly engaged insidethe casing, the CDS operator signals thedriller to engage the top drive to make upthe casing to the preset torque.Once the connection is made, the CDS tooltakes the weight of the string and the slipsare released and the string is lowered intothe well.While the string is being lowered the rigpumps can be engaged to fill the casing,and if desired, to circulate and reciprocate. 14. 2012 Tesco Corporation.
