Terveystalo Workfuture Services is a service package developed to meet the needs of the world of work. For employers of all sizes and shapes, we offer comprehensive occupational healthcare and productivity services as well as services promoting well-being at work. From the customer’s perspective, a uniform service package is more effective, more productive and easier to manage. Our goal is a better future at work for everyone: employers, employees, the Finnish society and the Finnish competitiveness.

Terveystalo’s participatory and active approach is based on cooperation and dialogue with our customers, while the primary targets of our actions are not only employees, but also the workplace, its conditions, and the entire workplace community. Healthcare services that follow good occupational healthcare practices are always based on the individual needs of the workplace community, and its coverage is determined by matters such as the nature of work, working arrangements, staff structure, job conditions, and potential changes to them. An action plan prepared in cooperation with the customer is a foundation for excellent and efficient occupational healthcare services. Terveystalo’s multidisciplinary teams specializing in occupational healthcare services ensure that services are delivered in accordance with the agreed objectives. Our approach also covers cooperation with other work support services, such as rehabilitation institutions and insurance companies.

Effective occupational healthcare services and an active management of ability to work calls for up-to-date, targeted information to meet the needs of HR, management, and occupational healthcare services. Terveystalo’s web-based solutions for managing ability to work make it easier to target measures, quantify results and monitor them, while also advancing cooperation with our customers.

The core of our workfuture services is made up by our strong and versatile expertise in occupational healthcare. Active management of ability to work produces the best results for the individual and the company.

The task of Terveystalo Occupational Healthcare is to ensure that the personnel resources of the company and organization are healthy and happy and available for productive work. Our occupational healthcare services are strongly focused on preventive measures with the aim to secure a healthy and safe working environment and a functional workplace community. We take the responsibility for the prevention of work-related illnesses, and the promotion and development of employees' operating capacity and ability and willingness to work throughout their careers. The role of occupational healthcare services is to support preventive choices important for the health of employees and to help our customer organization in a comprehensive management of ability to work.

It is also our task to ensure that in case of acute illness, treatment is available instantly and the patient can ultimately return to work as soon as possible. In the treatment of acute illness or accidents, instant access to care and straightforward treatment pathways are particularly important when measured in terms of absences and the length and percentage of disability. It is also possible to extend our contract to cover a variety of examinations and tests, treatments, or consultations by a specialist or other healthcare professionals. Terveystalo’s extensive specialist, examination, and hospital services are available for our customers as specified in our contract.

Preventive services and promotion of ability to work

Our occupational healthcare services are always provided by a multidisciplinary team of occupational health physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and psychologists, and, when needed, other occupational healthcare specialists. The occupational healthcare package and its contents are always prepared together with the customer.

Occupational healthcare services are responsible for the following preventive services designed to promote health and ability to work:

Preventive occupational healthcare services and promotion of ability to work, charges by the hour:

The most common preventive occupational healthcare services provided by occupational healthcare profes-sionals and experts are usually charged by the hour. The hourly rate is charged for each beginning quarter of an hour. If the preventive occupational healthcare service is provided by a specialist, a 5% premium shall be added to the price.

The total price of an occupational medical examination is determined on the basis of its duration and extent, which is agreed upon in advance. Medical examinations by an occupational health nurse, psychologist, or physical therapist last from 1 to 1.5 hours, while examination by an occupational health physician lasts from 30 minutes to one hour. The services of a work ability coach are subject to VAT and do not entitle to a reimbursement from Kela for occupational healthcare services.

Occupational healthcare reports

Customer-specific analysis and tailoring of the reports charged according to the time spent and the professional group. Services of an IT reporting specialist: €150.00/hour.

The general fee includes one report per year prepared on the basis of the business ID and delivered in the action plan meeting.

In addition to the standard reports, it is also possible to prepare separately agreed tailored reports. Such reports are charged according to an hourly rate specific for the professional group.

For data security reasons, some of the reports may not be available. If the sample for a data item is too small (less than 20 persons), the data is not printed on the report.

The general fee includes appointment services, customer service, invoicing services, mailing and office duties, maintenance and servicing costs of machines, equipment, and IT systems, medical consumables, professional literature, continuing education, workwear and laundry costs.

In addition to the general fee, companies with up to 6 employees pay an occupational healthcare fee.

Occupational healthcare fee

The occupational healthcare fee is not subject to Kela reimbursement. Companies with more than 6 employees that are Terveystalo customers do not pay the occupational healthcare fee. The occupational healthcare fee does not replace the general fee. - Comprehensive and statutory occupational healthcare for up to 3 persons € 45.90/person/year - Comprehensive and statutory occupational healthcare for 4–6 persons € 25.50/person/year

Annual fee for self-employed persons € 142.60/person/year

The annual fee for self-employed persons (€142.60) includes the general fee (€38.60), an update of the action plan and a health survey (1h 20min appointment with an occupational health nurse; €104.00) once a year. The services are billed in phases during the financial period.

Recording service for absences due to illness € 5.00/page

Recording of external (paper) and self-reported sick leave certificates as a service. Standardized electronically recorded absences due to illness can be stored free of charge via uploads in Terveystalo Työterveys Extranet. Recording other than standardized electronically recorded absences due to illness as a service shall be charged according to the hourly rates of occupational healthcare personnel.

E-services

Terveystalo Työterveys Extranet included in the occupational healthcare service agreementThe interactive online service Terveystalo Työterveys Extranet serves as a communication, contact, and service channel between the customer organization and the designated occupational healthcare professionals at Terveystalo.

Terveystalo Sirius HR subject to a separate quotationTerveystalo Sirius HR is an electronic system for managing ability to work. It serves as a shared tool between the HR department and the occupational healthcare services for managing the organization’s collective ability to work.

Terveystalo Oma Terveys free of charge for occupational healthcare clientsTerveystalo Oma Terveys, an online service for occupational healthcare clients, allows an easy access and management of personal medical information.

Other occupational healthcare services and physiotherapy services shall be charged according to the rates of our contractor network; billing charge for contracted services € 39.80/invoice

Visits to clinics and occupational health centers

The quoted rates (without extra charges) are valid on weekdays (Mon-Fri) between 7 am and 8 pm. Evening visits (Mon-Fri, from 8 pm to 10 pm) are subject to a 50% increase. Night-time visits (Mon-Fri,from 10 pm to 7 am; Saturday mornings until 7 am) are subject to a 70% increase. Visits on Saturdays from 7 am to 6 pm are subject to a 50% increase. Visits on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 pm to 7 am (Monday mornings until 7 am), public holidays, Midsummer Eve, and Christmas Eve are subject to a 100% increase.Please note that the extra charges for evening, night and weekend visits may differ between clinics. Check the prices with your clinic.


Other services

Evening, night, and weekend work at customer’s premises

Missed appointments

Cancellations of appointments with specialists must be made at least 24h before the time of the appointment. Other cancellations must be made at least before 12h before the time of the appointment. Cancellations of group visits or visits to the workplace must be made no later than one week before the time of the visit. The above limits shall be adhered to unless otherwise agreed in a separate agreement. For late cancellations and missed appointments, we charge the listed price in full.

Occupational accidents and diseases

Visits related to occupational accidents or diseases shall be invoiced directly from the insurance company. If the insurance company makes a negative compensation decision, the employer shall be invoiced later.

Travel time and expenses

The prices for occupational healthcare services and services promoting well-being at work that are provided in customer premises or other location determined by the customer do not include the costs of the travel time, which shall be charged according to the hourly rates of occupational healthcare professionals (each beginning quarter of an hour), plus travel expenses according to the Traveling Regulations of the Finnish Tax Authority.

Reasonable travel expenses according to the Traveling Regulations of the Finnish Tax Authority shall be added to the price of all-day services promoting well-being at work, if they require travel by the coach. Travel time is included in the price. Travel expenses shall be taken separately into account in the quotation for the above-mentioned services promoting well-being at work.

General

This price list is valid from January 1, 2015, until further notice. The pricing of Terveystalo products/services outside this price list complies with the Terveystalo general price list, which is maintained in the patient database system used by Terveystalo. Products/services may be added to or removed from the Terveystalo price list following the developments in the healthcare service sector. Availability of the services varies between Terveystalo clinics. We reserve the right to increase prices due to changes in legislation and/or authority regulations.


Terveystalo Workfuture Services also include consultations with specialists. The inclusion of consultations in your service

package is subject to a separate agreement. The prices for specialist consultations is determined on the basis of the training

and experience of the specialist and shall be charged by the hour.

Terveystalo's Well-being at Work services are complementary services to occupational healthcare services. In many cases, they complement and take further the measures initiated by occupational healthcare services. Through occupational healthcare services, health check-ups and other studies on employees’ well-being, we collect information that can help in planning and targeting a variety of measures. Targeted measures based on carefully analysed data serve best in supporting the health and well-being of both individual employees and the entire workplace community. This also adds to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of such measures.

Terveystalo Well-being at Work services consist of two areas: the development of organization and leadership, and the promotion of well-being. Standard service packages include coaching or guidance provided either individually or in groups. In addition to the standard choices, we can also tailor service packages to suit our customers’ requirements – up to comprehensive well-being at work programs.

Coaching provides tools for challenging leadership and work situations to improve the atmosphere and motivation at work, develop the communication in the workplace community, and improve one’s coping at work in the long term.

Terveystalo Change Management € 2500.00/day

Changes at work put a strain on personnel’s patience and cause stress. Terveystalo Change Management coaching is designed to help personnel in adapting to changes in the work organization. Another goal is to improve the readiness of key employees who deal with change management to put the changes in practice without forgetting the human aspect. Change management is intended for managers, executives, supervisors, HR department, employee representatives, key employees, and the entire staff.

Terveystalo Intervention Coaching € 2500.00/day

Many workplace communities are ridden by undercurrents of discontent and hidden conflicts that affect individual employees’ or even the entire workplace community’s ability to work. The aim of the intervention coaching is to increase supervisors’ preparedness for taking action in various challenging situations as the supervisor’s role requires and for learning to identify early warnings in their organizations. Coaching improves supervisors’ leadership skills, makes the supervisor role clearer and helps in defining supervisors’ responsibilities. It also hones supervisors’ communication skills and the ability to tackle challenging situations.

Terveystalo Well-being at Work Seminar € 2500.00

The seminar on well-being at work is an event intended for workplace communities or teams and designed to support employees’ personal resources, goal-orientation and well-being at work. The seminar concentrates particularly on cooperativity within the group. The seminar is also an optimal occasion to discuss matters that were highlighted in a personnel survey, topical challenges for the workplace community, or an upcoming change situation. The seminar is particularly suitable for situations where trust and cooperation need reaffirmation and goal-oriented thinking in the workplace community should be improved. It also improves job satisfaction and the functioning of teams.

Terveystalo Fitness Reviews

Terveystalo Fitness Reviews provide an overview of an employee’s current physical condition. The review includes a test and, on the basis of test results, the preparation of an individualized fitness program, which concentrates on personal goals and how to achieve them. Better fitness improves well-being and, consequently, coping at work and mental recovery. A physically fit employee can also recover more quickly from the physical stress caused by work.
