Terumah Offerings:
Exodus 25:127:19.
I. This Parsha is fascinating because it begins here with the first of 5 Torah portions
specifically describing the Tabernacle construction and furnishing. We have learned
in the past the Tabernacle and subsequent Temple were constructed to represent the
form of a Man upon the earth. This Temple - man represents Messiah and all the
interactions with the Priesthood and Israel who represent the Bride, vividly describe
the intimacy of husband and wife within the confines of Torah. The title then,
truwmah, an offering (specifically to YHVH) becomes the focal point, and
reveals our level of commitment to the one to whom the offering is brought. Lets
examine this Hebrew word:
Offering, #8641, truwmah. We know it means to offer so letsstrip away the prefixed Tav which is 3
rdperson, future tense and infers you
shall, he shall. And lets remove the suffixed Hey, which makes the word
feminine indicating not only what - BUT WHOM is being offered the Bride!
This leaves us with the root #7311, ruwm, to lift up, to elevate oneself. To
raise or bear children. This Resh-Vav-Mem root is first seen in Gen. 7:17
where we have the flood upon the earth and the Ark which is the object being
elevated. This first mention gives a bit more insight as our detective work
uncovers a clue here: Lets leave ruwm and come back to it later:0
Ark, #8392, tebah, translated ark, vessel, basket (Moshe). But, did younotice the Tav prefix again? Well, the Bet-Hey root stem is an inflected
personal pronoun meaning in her, in it. Thus, You shall (be) in it/her.
Now, back to RUWM
It is imperative that we understand the connection here to the waters of the flood
and the waters of the Nile River where Moshe was found in this ark. Both represent
the bitter waters of judgment and the ONE who would enter into those waters on
behalf of His Bride taking her penalty upon Him. This word ruwm is also seen in
Gen. 3: 1, 7, as a root within #6175 & #5903, aruwm and eyrom. These words are
used to describe the serpent and Adam/Eves naked condition and involve the
intimate encounter and conception of seed.
In each example given: The Tabernacle, The Ark, The Basket/Ark; we can see how
entering into becoming One within the confines of this intimate place requires the

LIFE of the one coming to it! Thus, Terumah indicates it is a physical
demonstration of our being elevated lifted up as an offering, a gift, the Bride
created for her husband, who gives her body to him. 1Cor. 6:19, 20. You are NOT
your own once you accept the price the Ark required the death of the One who
entered the bitter waters on your behalf!
A Willing Heart
II. The one requirement of YHVH was that of a willing heart:
Willing, #5068, nadab, to offer, be offered, to incite, impel. Do youremember this word? It is the name of one of the sons of Aaron who was on
the Mountain of Yah Sinai with Moshe and the Elders, the next in line as
High Priest, and finally, the one along with Abihu, destroyed by fire. Hisgrandfather was `Ammiynadab. The word Ammi means My People.
Nadab as a Priest represented the Bride who had been elevated ruwm lifted
up, belonging to YHVH. All those from the loins of Ammiynadab, would
become a people offered! He is the great grandfather of Boaz who fathers
Jesse, who fathers David!
Ironically, Nadab is burned with fire, the punishment for an Adulterous Bride who
is of the priestly lineage!
Heart, #3820, leb, heart, mind, etc. The Lamed in front to teach, urge, instruct, the Bet house, wife. If this order is compromised and the Bet is
place in front of the Lamed we have Bel, the Chief Babylonian god to whom
Israel constantly resorted. The first letter of Torah is Bet, the last letter (seen
in the word Israel) is this Lamed, forming the heart Lev of YHVH. The
Lamed indicates The Shepherd who guards His Bride. Every letter in the
Torah sums up His love for her and that love returned. The Sages teach the
letters represent the People of YHVH, if one letter is missing or corrupted, the
entire scroll is lost. Yahshua had to become the Living Scroll who would
Himself be lifted up elevated (Jn. 12: 32) in order to elevate or draw us toHim.
Take, #3947, laqach, to take, seize, to take in marriage. Only those whobrought a proper offering, which would indicate if their heart was in fact His,
could be elevated. The offerings indicated where their true treasure lay. Matt.
6:21. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. What free-will

offering have you brought lately? Does this indicate that our tithes and
offerings expose who the Loving Bride of Messiah is or does it reveal those
who would kindle strange fire by offering what belongs to YHVH to another?
Where is your giving directed? It will make bare your heart!
