Terse Verse(print for the student)
Terse Verse is a very short form of poetry. It starts with an impressive sounding question or statement which is solved by a short rhyme. A terse verse is a two-word poem that rhymes. One phrase is given as an explanation. The terse verse is the rhymed synonym for it. These are also called higgly-piggly or hinky-pinky poems.
For example:
What do you call a chicken with a one-cent coin? A penny henny. What do you call a cat who tells funny stories? A witty kitty. What do you call the cloth a turkey uses to dry dishes? A fowl towel. What do you call a mallard who wins the lottery? A lucky ducky.
