e. Describe the characteristics of Earth’s major terrestrial biomes (i.e. tropical rain forest, savannah, temperate, desert, taiga, tundra, and mountain) and aquatic communities (i.e. freshwater, estuaries, and marine).

deciduous forest biome? How can environmental indicators help us interpret results in

nature? How do behaviors impact the environment? What are basic

needs common to all living things? What are the basic functions of living things? How are structures of organisms related to their function? How are life cycles among all living things the same or

different? How are traits passed from generation to generation? What

happens to energy as it transfers from one organism to the next?

What happens to the food web in a community when one species is eliminated?

in that specific biome. Explain why they must have those

characteristics in order to survive. Create a food web for the biome. Use http://kids.britannica.com/ or

http://www.kidzsearch.com/ Present information to class using poster

board and markers.
