Description : Flexible Shaft is a flexible spring whose one end connected to motors shaft & at the another end brush is attached. This Flexible shaft is used for cleaning of Boiler tube, evaporator tube, condenser tube. During cleaning of tubes(scale inside the tube), sometimes excessive load comes on the flexible shaft to remove hard scale., which leads to breakage of flexible shaft.
Solution: - Joining of broken spring with Xuper 16 XFC.
Advantages: - 1) Low co-efficient of friction. 2) Thin flowing
3) Superior wettability and bonding.4) High tensile strength (1,00,000 PSI )The life has been increased to 20 days from 2-3 days (frequently breaking).
Previous Solution : - Brazing of broken spring with local brass brazing rod .

Internal information : Purna SSK, Vasmat, Dist – Hingoli is our one of the major customer. This customer isone of the reputed customer in Marathwada & whenever we approach them with some new technology , they give us opportunity to implement it.
Procedure of reclaimation:-
1. Cleaning of surface. (Grease, oil & other extraneous material such as scale removed )
2. Using neutral flame , preheat the part & melt off drop of flux from end of rod onto beginning of joint area.
3. Continue heating until flux liquifies.4. Deposit alloy drop by drop,feeding into flame as reqd.5. Ensure that each drop bonds properly .6. Remove flux residues by washing with water .
