TEACHING PROFESSION

Teaching is a Noble profession as it encompasses broad knowledge of almost everything

and is handed over to learners. I personally want to be a teacher in the Nursing field but Imafraid that I am not good enough to suffice the needs of the eager generation of students.

Professionalism in Teaching is one that garners much of my respect, if there are no Teachers

there are no future PROFESSIONALS. It is as easy as that.

Teaching is dynamic. It is parallel to the changes in technology and modern culture. As

years passed by, teaching evolves to something more complex, making your intuitions sharper

and more accurate. Teachers shall seek to respect, identify and develop students talents,

recognizing multiple intelligences in the students. They also would like to emphasize the

molding of good moral character.

Teachers are committed to the integral formation of economically disadvantaged youth

in urban and rural communities, promoting their rights and responsibilities as individuals, as

productive citizens of the community, and as children of God, and encompassing academic,

technical, spiritual, cultural and life-skills educational development, therefore they are the

bloodline of continuous enhancement of knowledge in the world.

Here in the Philippines, the teachers underpaid and education is unvalued The use of

the term professional simply to describe someone who provides service for payment is not in

itself of much interest. Teachers should be given more benefits regarding to their meticulous

job.

THE LEARNERS & MOTIVATION TO LEARNING

Learning is motivated through the teaching styles and tools used by the teachers. As a

learner, I have observed the different ways in order to make the discussion more appealing.

Therefore, making learning a joyful experience; learners are encouraged to provide an

output of what they have learned in a subject such as term papers, reaction papers and etc.

Motivation is mostly in the hands of the teachers but the will is dependent on the

learner. Each and every one of us has different views on learning. My motivation is mostly

focused on my family and my future. I always put in my mind and heart that education is

something that I should always pursue in order to obtain the outmost satisfaction not justfor myself but for the future generation.

Learning is not only taught by teachers in the class but is also learned through

experiences and mistakes in life. As a learner, every good thought shared by the superiors is

very important and has the sense of changing my life to be better every day.

CURRICULAR PROGRAMS

The idea of curriculum is hardly new - but the way we understand and theorize it has altered

over the years - and there remains considerable dispute as to meaning. It has its origins in the

running/chariot tracks of Greece. It was, literally, a course. In Latin curriculum was a racing

chariot; currere was to run. Curriculum is all the learning which is planned and guided by the

school, whether it is carried on in groups or individually, inside or outside the school.

For example the K-12 curriculum. There are always advantages and disadvantages of

enhanced k+12 basic education programs should be implemented. If we are going to observe

each section, we could define what would be the BEST beneficial for our fellow Filipino

students.

The Enhanced K+12 Basic Education Program in the Philippines has been officially

started. It has been initiated by the Aquino administration where students will have to undergo

a new system of education.

This program will require all incoming students to enroll into two more years of basic

education. Thus, the K+12 System will basically include the Universal kindergarten , 6 years of

elementary, 4 years of junior high school with an additional 2 years for senior high school.

Moreover, the program aims to uplift the quality of education in the Philippines in order

for graduates to be easily employed. The program also aims to meet the standards required for

professionals who would want to work abroad.

Most importantly, the system aims to fully enhance and develop the students in order

for them to be well-prepared especially in emotional and cognitive aspects. Through this,

graduates will be able to face the pressures of their future workplace.

However, not all are in favor of the K+12 Education. There are students complaining of

the additional years and there are parents who are not in favor of the additional expenses. But

indeed, it is an undeniable fact that additional years in the education system will really require

more budgets not just from the government but from the parents as well. Aside from this,

students will need additional classrooms, school supplies and facilities. The program would

need more qualified teachers as well.

I personally believe that the K+12 Education in the Philippines would uplift the quality of

lifestyle of the Filipino people. But, this could not be done without being prepared. And since

the program has already been implemented, what is more important now is for students to do

their best and study despite of the lack of facilities. Nothing is impossible when we persist.

As for teachers, continue to teach with love and love what you teach despites of your

own personal triumphs and economic crisis. Always remember that the future of the students

depends upon you.

As for the parents who have been doing their best in pursuing their childs education,

remember that the program aims whats best for your children. It will help your children to

become globally competitive and if your children will succeed, you will also succeed.

But the problem is, does the government have sufficient budget for additional teachers

and additional classrooms, chairs, books, etc? Maybe we can have two curricula for secondary

education: a four-year high school curriculum and a five or six-year high school curriculum so

both parents and students can make their choice. We have students who drop out from public

school because they have to work. Education must have a secular head, and one who comes

from a background that recognizes the inherent flaws in our society.

As for the government, prioritize first the existing problem in educational system in the

Philippines, if they want to implement something new. The government should first supply

good schools, right ratio of students for the classrooms and teachers, enhanced supplies and

updated technology and other factors that will affect their education.

There may be a lot of factors to consider for the K+12 Education to succeed. But as long as we

open our minds to change and we will take it on a positive way, we will definitely attain our

most-aspired educational standards which will play a great role in our countrys development

and will therefore, uplift us from poverty.

Curricular programs is dynamic, it depends on the institution of how they will more

improved their system of learning.

SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS BESIDES THE SCHOOL

Social Instituition the Church, Religion played most of its role in developing the enthusiast in a

student. Building a closer link to god and a better understanding of life in a wholesome

perspective.
