Term 4 Week 6 Dear parents & caregivers STAGE 2 Camp Our Stage 2 students arrived at Teen Ranch this morning ready for three days of great fun and lots of new experiences. Thank you to the staff giving up their family time to supervise the children at camp. AWARD REMINDER This is a reminder to all students and parents that it is the responsibility of each child to look after their own PBL, Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. When they are ready to trade make sure you bring in the awards and give them to the class teacher who will sign the back of each award when they are traded so they cannot be reused. Also please remember that it will take most children approximately 2 to 2 ½ years to reach a Gold level. It is a most prestigious level now and takes time to get there. This makes it even more special. Silver BBQ and Gold Morning Tea Invitations will be sent out soon for those children who have earned a Silver and/or Gold Award. LATENESS Teach your children that being on time is an important habit to develop. Children who are constantly late to school miss a very important part of the school day when the teacher outlines what is happening during the day. It is also an important part of the day for new skills and concepts to be presented to students, as this is the part of the day when they are freshest and can concentrate better. Students who are late on a regular basis also become the target for comment by other students and often as a result isolate themselves from their peers. NB : To ensure that all children’s safety is of the highest priority, all parents are required to attend the office with their child when they are late. Enrolment for 2020 If you know of any children who are eligible to enroll for Kinder 2020, please come to the school office to collect the paper work that needs to be completed. The Out Of Area panel will hold one more meeting to discuss and process any children who wish to enroll but live out of area. If you have siblings at the school but you now live out of area you need to complete the Out of Area Forms for the panel to process. SCHOOL PLANNING INFORMATION The last day of school for students is WEDNESDAY 18 December 2019. The staff have completed time in lieu for the two professional learning days that are scheduled for 19 and 20 December 2019. They have remained back at school on four occasions until 6.30pm completing various learning activities and evaluative projects. Therefore, there will be no staff at school on these two days. CHANGE OF TIME : ASSEMBLIES WEEK 6 As many Kinder parents are dropping their older Stage 2 children at Camp on Wednesday of week 6, they will not be back in time to view the Kinder Assembly. To that end, we have changed the Assembly time for Wednesday 20 NOVEMBER to 2-3pm for K-2. Students leaving the School (except Yr 6) Please let Mrs Lume in the office know if your child(ren) is not returning to Eschol Park PS next year. We need to organize classes and numbers and need this information in order to do this. Mrs Karen Masciocchi Principal
