INCO-CURRICULAR NEWS Dear College Community,

Summer Co-Curricular Assembly

Today all boys who had been awarded the MVP for the various summer activities and sports were presented to their peers at the summer co-curricular assembly. It was great to have so many families at the event to celebrate the efforts made by all during the Co-Curricular program. A full list of award winners can be found on pages 2 and 3.

Inclement Weather

When I got to Rostrevor Saturday morning, the pitches were still soft and I placed a notice on the Rostrevor website under Late Cancellations at 7.15am.

Families are encouraged to check this section for changes that may occur to the suggested fixtures as all cancellations or changes to venues etc are communicated via this forum.

2017 Prefects Assisting in Smart Work Sessions

One of the four EREA touchstones that Rostrevor College encapsulates is 'INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY' which is a commitment in reaching out to others and building relationships through deep respect and compassion for the common good. A group of 2017 Year 12 students have made a commitment to offer their time and experience to advance the Learning of younger students during Smart Work Sessions (SWS). In already commencing the service out of school hours (3:15 - 4:15), attending SWS and assisting these students with their homework tasks, they have demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm and a resolve to be "men for others."

Congratulations and well done Prefects of 2017; your dedication and goodwill is warmly acknowledged. We look forward to working with you in the Learning Centre.
