F-2 HOUSE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL The F-2 House Athletics Carnival is taking place on the school oval this Friday from 11.30am
– 1.30pm. Students have been practising each of the events during their PE classes this
term. Students are encouraged to dress in their House colour and to wear suitable clothing
and footwear. Spectators are welcome. Please sign in at the School Office on arrival.
YEAR 6 LIGHTNING PREMIERSHIP Our Year 6 students will be competing in the Lightning Premiership on Friday 30th October. Students have selected their sport and have been training each Friday afternoon in preparation. The Lightning Premiership is a whole day event. Students will compete against the 8 other schools in our Werribee District.

YEAR 3-6 SWIMMING PROGRAM
The Year 3-6 10 day intensive program will be conducted at the Werribee Outdoor
Pool in Term 4 (Monday 16th November – Friday 27th November). The Wyndham
City Council have employed the services of a new company to run the Swimming
Program. The cost of this year’s program will be $80 for 10x40 minute lessons with a
guaranteed staff to student ratio of no greater than 1:8.
Notes for the program were distributed at the beginning of Term 4. If your child has
failed to bring these home, please collect a copy from the school office or
alternatively they can be downloaded from the PE/Sport website.
ATHLETICS UPDATE
At the conclusion of Term 3, four of our students represented the Werribee District at
the Division Athletics Finals. Jessica E – 11 Girls 200m & 800m
Tahlia K – 10 Girls Discus
Moo Da Wah – 11 Girls Discus
Htaw Nay Moo – 11 Boys Discus
The competition was fierce! Congratulations to all four students for an outstanding
effort in progressing to this level of competition. Well done to Tahlia who placed 3rd in
her discus event and to Jessica for her 1st in the 800m and 2nd in the 200m.
Jessica progressed to the Regional Athletics Finals that were held at Keilor last
week. Jessica performed tremendously! She qualified for the final of the 200m and
finished 6th. In the 800m she placed 13th. Awesome job Jess!
