Baby Massage at Schools as Community Centre

Baby Massage course is starting Friday next week, this course is designed for parents/carers with babies from birth to 2, and you will learn the technique of baby massage which has many benefits to baby. Massage is a wonderful way to help strengthen your bond. This is the key to a child’s development, as many researchers and clinicians feel that a positive maternal child bond helps to form the basis for future relationships. Regular baby massage can soothe baby and reduce crying, aid digestion and help relieve gas and constipation, help baby sleep more deeply and longer, help calm and relax both parent and baby. This is a free 5 week course which runs for 2 hours each Friday starting this wee. Please call Krystle on 6947 6961 to register.

PBL Star Board Reward Each week, the class that is present at lines before the music stops, is

respectful and leaves safely and quietly, will receive a PBL star on the

board. The winning class that received the most stars for last week was

K Cook. Congratulations on your win K Cook!

Franklin Public School Orientation Begins

“Together We Learn” The 2018 Kindergarten students visited Franklin Public School for their first

orientation session last Tuesday. The Kindergarten classrooms were lit up with

excitement as the children met new friends and familiarised themselves with

their new surroundings.

While the children were engaged in quality learning opportunities the parents

met with executive staff in the hall to discuss school procedures and learn

about the quality programs which their children will be engaged in next year.

The current Kindergarten classes were delighted to perform their “Wiggles”

medley for the visiting families and showcased their new iMovie’s which were

created earlier in the term.

The new students are looking forward to visiting

Franklin again this week and will be

participating in a Gala Sports Session on

Tuesday 31st October, starting at 9am.

More information about the Kindergarten

Orientation Program and Franklin School Tours

is available by calling the school office on

69471533 or coming in to speak with our

executive team.

Welcome to the Franklin Family!

Band Lesson and Rehearsal Times for Term 4

Our weekly band lessons will continue to be held on Wednesday.

Our weekly Band rehearsal will be held on Fridays 11.30-12.30.

This will mean all band members will need to bring their instruments on

Wednesday and Friday each week.

Upcoming Events

Special workshops for flute and trumpet players next Thursday, 19th October, by Mr Chris Gorrie, Music Teacher from Batlow Technology School. Flute and trumpet students can leave their instruments and books in their classroom overnight.

The school band will make its debut performance at Grandparents Day on Friday 27th October.

The school band has been invited to perform at the Tumut Town Band Annual Concert on Sunday 12th November from 1.15 to 3.30, at the Golf Club.

Parents are asked to complete and return the form below about this event and return to the office.

Here students are exploring how to build and sketch 3D

shapes. The students were given blutac and coloured match

sticks. They then created as many 3D shapes as the could and

then sketched and labelled them.

During science this

term students have

been learning about

plants in action. Here

the students are plac-

ing pictures of a bean

lifecycle in the correct

order. After this we

then planted our own

bean seed and will

record its growth.

Here during our Maths session Abel and Shanaye are working

with position and playing battleship.

Zane Manns received an award for persistence when learning the flute.
