English My reflection on English.......?

During this term of English we have been focusing on grammar and our writing skills. This

term we have had numerous tests on Grammar skills, Key skills and even a few Spelling

tests. We have also started to do a new activity in homework. The new homework is we

all get 10 Spelling words and we have to study them. There is Group 1, Group 2 and Group

3, Group 1 is the hardest here is a list of this Weeks Spelling Words

Now here is the start of the story I wrote in class

Jake cursed in fear as the vampire walked towards him, its thin white teeth bared. Jake only had enough time to analyse the vampire’s features. It's pale like skin, long curly hair and a scar running from the mouth to the left eye. Then everything went silent Jake could only feel the vampires teeth sucking at he's blood. Meanwhile Jake's mum Judy was looking everywhere for him, she knew he would be playing with his Werewolf friends or picking a fight with some vampires......Yes Jake and his family are Werewolf's. You may be thinking werewolves are not real.....well you’re wrong there out there for all you know your neighbour could be a werewolf. Well not really unless you live in Canada. You also may be thinking Vampires are not real but they are to but they only come out at night time so they are very rare. The vampire was on top of him sucking at his blood all he could do was lie there waiting for help.....Then all of a sudden the vampire was flying across the courtyard. Once he got up he saw his Best Friend Arrow ( In Werewolf form) "You alright" asked Arrow curiously......? "Yea I'm fine".... He lied his guts felt like they were in knots and his head like concrete

Specialists

If some of you don’t what specialists are they are stuff like Sport,

Art, Library, French, Music and Science. Sport: During sport this

term we have been doing Hockey and Rugby. In rugby we have

been doing Rugby League and Union. I prefer League. Art: In art

we have been doing work with Oil pastels....we had to draw a

picture of our favourite game I picked Minecraft. Now we are

drawing our own Stain Glass Windows. Library: In library this

term we have sort of just been relaxing and doing the same thing

as we do in UOI. French: French this term has been fantastic we

have been building our own Environment Friendly House. My

house has got solar stuff and Wind Turbines and lots trees and

stuff like that. Music: Music in term has been exciting as we have

been watching the Planets. Science; In science this term we have

been learning about the Great Barrier Reef. Here is a picture of

Maths

Maths this term has been quite hard but very fun. During Maths this term we

have been looking at how to show decimals as a remainder and how to do the

four operations all of this is quite easy. To do the decimal one you just put .000

at the end of the thing you’re dividing. We have also been doing a few tests in

Maths. In my first test I got 42/51 we also have a test today on decimals and

Fractions. He has also explained how to do long decimals. That is quite easy but

then he taught us the hard way of Long division which completely confused

us all. Our maths homework has not changed that much. Now all we do is

Mathletics and sometimes a sheet of work on whatever we are learning.

UOI

This term has been very fun during UOI. We have looked at all the different

types of theatre and expression. Some different types of expression are Happy,

Sad, Angry, Shocked, Annoyed, Scared and Crazy. Some different types of

Theatre are, Modern Theatre, Noe Theatre and Car Park Theatre. We have

also been doing the exhibition during the exhibition we have to pick a partner

and work about some problem in the community. We have also done a

PowerPoint on expressions. All we had to do was make a power point and take

a picture of our self and pick what music matches the face you made then right

a small amount of information on the music and face you made and why it

matches.

Term Reflection

We have had an awesome term this Year with Cross Country, Public Speaking

and lots more. Cross Country: Cross Country this Year has been the best I have

ever performed in the end I got third the Year before I got forth. It was very

close as James Whatmough got 2nd and Mike Battye 1st. In the end it was a tie

between Richards and Battye. Public Speaking Public Speaking has not been

done yet but going to House has. In public speaking I got to the next stage

which is house in the end in lost to Kevin is house. Hoop Time: This term we

had Hoop time. I made it into the All-Stars. My team included Jai, Trent, Joel,

Jake, Mike, Yianni and myself. In the end we made it through to the next

round. We won all of our matches and there were a lot of matches! Exhibition

Centre: For the exhibition centre we had to go into the city with SMS and

then we looked at all these exhibitions there were heaps. My favourite one was

the 3D Chair one. Berwick Blokes: During Berwick Blokes this term we have

been practising a few songs for the Junior School Consent some of the songs

we are singing are Magic, Mickey Mouse, Daniel, Its a small world and Yo Ho.

We are singing all of these songs on the last Wednesday of the term. Next

Round Of Hoop time: Because our team won the Grand Final we made it to

the next round the next round will be November 11. Hopefully we can we that

won to. Footy Tips: Footy Tips has gone though the whole Year at the

moment I am in the lead by five tips so I can not lose. At the moment I’m at

154 or something.

My PYP Attitudes

The PYP Attitude I think I have displayed the most is Enthusiasm. I have

displayed this Attitude lots throughout the term. I have displayed it during

lunch time while playing sport and during all of our subjects. I think Enthusiasm being ready to really have a go and have fun and be excited. I

have also have shown lots of Enthusiasm throughout PE. I think everybody needs Enthusiasm to be a good friend and to live life.

Everybody needs to have Enthusiasm!
