EASTER HATS COME TO RYDALMERE

Fancy hats to celebrate the season

We would like to thank parents for their support in both the making of the hats and on the day of the parade.

WORKING BEE

Thank you to Ann, Iain, Lucy and Alison McCredden, James Williams from the preschool, Amanda and Ryan Green Mandy Ryan and Georgia, Kylie Bales and Ella, and teachers Sue Mackay and Helen Moloney, for their hard work in the school gardens on Saturday. We were able to extensively tidy the preschool grounds, prune the gardens, particularly the rose garden, and bark the entry and staff car park gardens. Good fun was had by all.

ANZAC DAY SERVICE

Last Thursday we conducted our ANZAC service, with representatives from Parramatta RSL sub –branch Mr Ron Smith and Mr Colin Grace. Our captains and prefects led the ceremony with poise and proficiency. The students heard an address from Mr Grace about how the word “ANZAC” came about. Each class made a wreath of poppies which were laid by the school’s memorial plaque. The students are to be commended on their excellent behaviour throughout the service, as we remembered those civilians and service personnel who have died in the war.
