the LifeBook MovementSunday April 22 Columbia City Indiana wasoverpowered by the Holy Spirit as theLifeBook Movement got started.
For those that do not know what the LifeBookis your best option is to visitwww.thelifebook.com to find out but here is abrief synopsis:
The Life Book contains a short recap of the OldTestament, the entire Gospel of John, scripturalanswers to issues teens face, and an opportunityto trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.Throughout The Life Book there are interactivehandwritten reactions in the margins from 5characters including an adult youth leader, andfour teenagers ranging from an agnostic tostrong believer. The physical properties of thebook are similar to a CD case (5" x 5").
The purpose it to place a copy of this book inthe hands of every student within the highschools of America thus placing the actual Wordof God in their hands at the same time beingdelivered by their peers. For those involved weabsolutely know the power Christ showed andfor those that were not directly involved here isjust a brief overview of just some of the eventsthat took place:
Love Offering totaled 1300 dollars
The prayer meeting in front of CCHS thismorning saw about 20 students ready to dokingdom work this morning.
A CCHS student that attended the prayermeeting was able to hand out every bookshe had before first period was over.
A teacher from Eagle Tech, after talkingwith a student, asked to get a bunch ofcopies to hand to kids he knew needed tohear the word.
A student at Eagle Tech didn't know aboutit and wanted to get involved so she was
given books to hand out.
A CCHS student is prepared to surrenderto the calling of Christ.
3 ISMS students are completely out ofbooks and need more.
An entire box of books was given out tostudents at Cornerstone Christian Schoolto include them in the movement.
A student text messaged me first thingthis morning as he was reading the Lifebookwith another student and they hadquestions. This is a Christian kid that hadnever read this particular story inscripture that he could remember.
Just got done texting another student
who has handed out 15 books and hasalready had people texting her askingquestions, kingdom questions!!!! PRAISE GOD
So next time God asks you to get involved withwhat He is doing dont hesitate or you mightjust get left behind reading about it instead ofbasking in HIS GLORY!

YOUTH LEADER
BABBLING'S?
Would Jesus Christ wear aRolex? Maybe?
Very recently I walked into the IndianSprings Middle School Campus Life
Club at The Center for WhitleyCounty Youth as I have for manyThursday morning over the last 5+
years. In typical fashion I stroll inslightly late and not expectinganything out of the usual. Thismorning would almost prove no
different.
As I walk in the usual suspects comerunning at me to take my hat and
begin their process of annoying me.The other usual suspects approach
with things like why havent you orwere have you etc.
The third common approach is, Canyou play a song for me? I promise it is
appropriate.
I always respond with, What is it?Though this morning was slightlydifferent because she states, Its
called, Would Jesus Wear A Rolex, byRay Stevens Stunned I said Uhm
sure.
Now I have absolutely no idea thetopic of this song or anything aboutRay Stevens but I said I must hearthis. So I pull up Youtube and find
the song and begin to listen. Man thissong shook me. I mean it flatly
shocked me as the lyric states almostwrote a check out then I asked
myself, would he wear a pinky ring....
I was actually disgusted. See this songbasically calls out these Evangelists as
greedy selfish idolators that dontdeserve my money. I understand that
in our country and over the yearsthere have been many to take
advantage of Gods people but manyhave done great things for thekingdom of God as well. For
someone to say he dont need my$20is ignorant because they obviouslymissed the point of giving. You are
not giving to the preacher, teacher etcyou are giving to God. I know, Iknow that you have to be a goodsteward and all those other good
Christanglish statements we make butreally think about the last time you
went to give.
What were the thoughts that crossedyour mind?
Seriously what were they?
2 Corinthians 10:5
5We demolish arguments and everypretension that sets itself up againstthe knowledge of God, and we takecaptive every thought to make itobedient to Christ.
The other very interesting event fromthat morning was that as I was
reading scripture that morning thepassage I read was this.
John 12
Jesus Anointed at Bethany
1Six days before the Passover, Jesusarrived at Bethany, where Lazaruslived, whom Jesus had raised from the
dead. 2
Here a dinner was given inJesus honor. Martha served, whileLazarus was among those reclining atthe table with him. 3Then Marytook about a pint[a] of pure nard, anexpensive perfume; she poured it onJesus feet and wiped his feet with herhair. And the house was filled with thefragrance of the perfume.
4But one of his disciples, JudasIscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, 5Why wasnt this perfumesold and the money given to the poor?It was worth a years wages.[b] 6Hedid not say this because he cared
about the poor but because he was athief; as keeper of the money bag, heused to help himself to what was putinto it.
7Leave her alone, Jesus replied. Itwas intended that she should save thisperfume for the day of my burial.
8You will always have the pooramong you, but you will not alwayshave me.
9Meanwhile a large crowd of Jewsfound out that Jesus was there andcame, not only because of him butalso to see Lazarus, whom he hadraised from the dead. 10So the chiefpriests made plans to kill Lazarus as
well, 11for on account of him manyof the Jews were going over to Jesusand putting their faith in him.
WOW!!!
So Mary took a pint of expensiveperfume and poured it on feet???
Sadly if I was there I probably wouldhave responded like Judas in my goodChristanglish that it was such a waste.Yet Jesus told him to shut up. Thatexpensive perfume was intended forhim and that you will always havepoor among you but you wont alwayshave the King of kings and Lord oflords.
Stunning!
So I ask you this, Would Jesus WearA Rolex? Heck yes as long as it wasgiven to him out of pure obedienceand sacrifice. Jesus Christ is a King, are you giving to Him like one?
