Transcript of Ten Lepers Miracle
By Charlotte Donald
Jesus was travelling through a small village in between Samaria and Galilee, on his way to Jerusalem.
Ten Lepers approached Jesus, but kept their distance. They called out “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!.”
Jesus replied to the Ten Lepers “Go and show yourselves to the Priests” As the Lepers went they were made clean.
One of the ten men turned around and knelt at Jesus’ feet. He was a Samaritan.
Jesus noticed that only one of the ten men cured came back
to give thanks.
“Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well”.
It is important to realise that God loves us all - NO MATTER our race, beliefs or gender.
Miracles can happen everyday as long as we have faith – just like the Samaritan in the ten
leper miracle.
It is important to thank people for what they have done for you, and not just
leave without saying anything.
Glossary:Leper – Someone who is said to be ‘unclean’- they may have had a skin disease. This meant that they were not allowed to mix in everyday society.
Samaritan – A person who lived in Samaria, who only followed some of the teachings in the Bible. Were considered by the Jewish people to be ‘half - casts’ as they married Israelites and followed different religions. Samaritans were despised by the Jewish people.
