Section2–SelectYourRoleVendorAdministratorsarerepresentativesofsmallbusinessesthathavetheabilitytomanagethecertificationprocessfortheirfirm.VendorAdministratorscanalsogiveaccesstootheruserstoaccessand/ormanagetheirbusinessinformation.UnlikeVendorAdministrators,VendorEditorscanonlymanagethecertificationprocessforafirm.Theycannotmanagewhichuserscanaccessafirm’saccount.Ifthisisthefirsttimeyouareregisteringyourbusiness,select“VendorAdminforabusinessthatisnewtocertify.SBA.gov”.YouwillneedtoprovideyourDUNSNumber,TIN,andMPINtoregisteryourbusiness.Ifsomeoneelsehasalreadyregisteredyourbusiness,selecteitherthe“VendorAdmin”or“VendorEditor”roleforabusinessthatalreadyexists.YouwillneedtoprovidetheDUNSnumberinordertorequestaccess.

Ifthisisthefirsttimeyouareregisteringyourbusiness,youwillberequiredtoconnectyourprofiletoabusinessbyenteringyourbusinessinformation.Threepiecesofinformationarerequired.DUNSNumber-TheDataUniversalNumberingSystem(DUNS)Numberisauniquenine-characteridentificationnumberprovidedbythecommercialcompanyDunandBradstreet.TINNumber-ATaxpayerIdentificationNumber(TIN)isanidentificationnumberusedbytheInternalRevenueService(IRS)intheadministrationoftaxlaws.ItisissuedeitherbytheIRSortheSocialSecurityAdministration(SSA).ThechoicesprovidedforTINTypeinclude:EmployerIdentificationNumber"EIN",orSocialSecurityNumber"SSN".MPIN-TheMarketingPartnerIdentificationNumber(MPIN)isaself-createdpasswordfromSAM.gov.

NOTE:YourrecordsinSAM.govmustbeinthe“Active”statustobeabletoaccessyourrecordsincertify.SBA.gov.AnychangestorecordsinSAM.govcantakeupto72hourstotransfertocertify.SBA.gov.Ifyoustillcannotfindyourbusiness,pleasecheckyourDUNS,TIN/EINandMPINonemoretime.TheymustmatchexactlyastheyaredisplayedinSAM.gov.TheDUNSandEINshouldbenumbersonly(nospacesordashes)andyourMPINiscasesensitive.Ifyoustillcannotassociateyourbusiness,pleasegotoSAM.govandverifythatyourMPINiscorrect.

VendorAdminswillreceiveasystemgeneratedemailnotificationwhenanemployeehasrequestedaroletomanageyourbusinessinformation.Toaccept,deny,orrevokeaccesstoyourfirm’srecords,dothefollowing.

1. Logintoyourcertify.SBA.govaccount

2. SelecttheBusinesstabonthetopnavigationbar

3. SelectManageemployeeaccessfromtheleftnavigationmenu

4. IntheEmployeetable,youcanchooseanactionforeachemployee:

• AcceptorReject–Whenanemployeemakesarequesttobeaddedtoyourbusinessasanadminoreditor,youcanchoosetoeitherAcceptorRejectthisrequest

• Revoke–YoucanRevokeanemployee’saccesstoyoucertify.sba.govaccountatanytimebyselectingRevokeintheActioncolumn

HowdoIdeletedocuments?Onceadocumenthasbeenuploadeditcannotbedeleted.However,wearecurrentlybuildingthefunctionalityforyoutoarchivedocumentsthatareoutdatedornolongerneeded.Oncethatfunctionalityisinplace,youwillbeabletomoreefficientlymanageyourdocumentlibrary.DidNotReceiveEmailWehaveidentifiedanissuewithsomeemailorinternetservicesproviders(ISPs)notacceptingoursystemgeneratedemails,andhavemadeupdatestoresolvethemajorityoftheissues.However,wealsoknowthattherearesomeindividualsecuritysettingsthatwillcontinuetoblockouremails.Pleasetryagainbyfollowingthestepsbelow.
