Thursday, 6 August 2020 Dear Parents/Caregivers I have spent the last few days collating mid-year testing data for reading, writing and maths across years 2-6 and I am pleased to report that overall our test results are consistently impressive when compared with national norms. We use this opportunity to analyse our data and make adjustments to teaching practices and make up of groups where a need is identified. I believe that differentiated programmes so all students are learning at their level, as well as the extension and additional support programmes on offer, strongly contribute to the results we are achieving. This was confirmed by the Education Review Office during their visit at the end of 2019 who commented on the consistency of our data and said ‘that school wide achievement shows that most students, including Maori, are at or above curriculum expectation in literacy and mathematics.’ They also noted that ‘school achievement data is closely scrutinised at all levels’. SCHOOL SHOW A reminder that our school musical show Kidsummer Night’s Dream is to be performed by all our year 5 and 6 students the week after next. We hope you can all come! Students have worked very hard and it promises to be great entertainment for everyone. Extended family and friends are also very welcome. Tickets are now on sale using kindo or are available from the school office. They will be sold on a first in first served basis. Adults $15 and children 5- 15 years $10. Under 5’s free admission. Please note there will be a 15 minute interval and PTA will be selling refreshments. Junior and middle parents who wish to take their children to the matinee on the Tuesday are able to withdraw them from their class for the show. Dear Parents/Caregivers

I have spent the last few days collating mid-year testing data for reading, writing and maths across years 2-6 and I am pleased to report that overall our test results are consistently impressive when compared with national norms.

SCHOOL SHOW

A reminder that our school musical show Kidsummer Night’s Dream is to be performed by all our year 5 and 6 students the week after next. We hope you can all come! Students have worked very hard and it promises to be great entertainment for everyone. Extended family and friends are also very welcome.

Tickets are now on sale using kindo or are available from the school office. They will be sold on a first in first served basis. Adults $15 and children 5-15 years $10. Under 5’s free admission. Please note there will be a 15 minute interval and PTA will be selling refreshments.

Junior and middle parents who wish to take their children to the matinee on the Tuesday are able to withdraw them from their class for the show.
