Automotive Grade ModulesAutomotive product requirements are unique. Not only are specifications for products themselves different but also supply-chain, quality and logistics. Telit is a long-standing supplier to the automotive industry for both OEM and aftermarket segments. Telit maintains a large portfolio of automotive grade modules, including the powerful ATOP family of automotive telematics onboard units (OBU‘s), engineered to ensure the highest quality standards are observed from R&D to manufacturing and logistics, meet-ing or exceeding automotive requirements.
Telit and our manufacturing facilities are ISO/TS16949 compli-ant. Additionally, our automotive products undergo Produc-tion Part Approval Process (PPAP), a validation test for the automotive market. The PPAP suite followed by Telit Automo-tive Solutions contains a comprehensive set of mechanical and environmental tests specified in ISO 16750 (-1/2/3:2006) and ETSI EN 300 019 (Part 1-1/2/5), designed to ensure the quality levels mandated by automotive manufacturers.
Cellular ModulesTelit embedded cellular voice and data communication modules are available in
4G – HSPA+, DC-HSPA+ and LTE
3G – EV-DO, UMTS, HSPA and
2G – GSM | GPRS, CDMA 1xRTT, technologies.

Positioning and GNSSTelit ranges cellular modules with built-in positioning func-tionality as well as a full lineup of GNSS receiver modules including GPS-only, multi-constellation, GPS | GLONASS simultaneous-tracking and models with support for QZSS, Galileo and Compass. These products include high-value features like dead-reckoning an ultra-sensitive RF front-ends for better indoor fixes plus fast navigation in more outdoor settings. Telit has over 20 years’ experience designing award-winning GNSS products.
Short to Long Range RF Communication Telit embedded short to long range RF data communication modules are available in Certified SIGFOX™ gateway, ZigBee® (ZigBee® PRO stack), wireless M-Bus (EN13757 part 4 and part 5) and Telit’s high-efficiency 10-hop, 10 K-node low-power mesh protocol stack and Star network.
These wireless communication modules operate in license-free spectrum, available in different frequency bands world-wide and the connectivity is free of charge.

• IP Easy® allows use of GPRS and Internet packet service through the embedded TCP/IP stack.
• Python™ language extension with Easy Script® applica-tions can manage I/O pins, communicate to peripherals through serial ports and transfer data over the cellular network without the need for an external processor.
• Jamming detection increases security in applications where jamming is a risk, providing alerts with high priority. Jam-ming is also becoming more common in satellite-based global positioning. Telit GNSS receivers detect and report satellite signal jamming.
• m2mLOCATE is a cell ID-based location service that extends the Telit Location Based Service portfolio. It represents the convergence of mobile communications and location services conceived to provide customers with basic location information when their devices do NOT have GNSS hardware (more typical in older legacy systems), or when GNSS signals
are either masked or jammed outdoors or are too weak to provide a reliable position.
GNSS Product Benefits Telit GNSS receivers can significantly lower design complexity and costs in antenna and RF electronics.
