One  of    important  areas  in  nursing  is  efficient  monitoring  of  safety  of  the  use  of  medicines.  Worldwide  increases  in  number  of  counterfeit  medicines,  par9cularly  oncological  and  psychiatric  drugs,  unfortunately  include  also  legal  sale  channels.

ICN  ac9vely  par9cipates  in  ac9on  against  counterfeited  drugs,  also  supports  ac9vi9es  of  nurses  in  this  maFer.    This  danger  has  been  recognized  also  by  the  European  Union  (Direc9ve  2011/83/EC),  in  the  community  code  rela9ng  to  medicinal  products  for  human  use  –  in  regards  to  the  preven9on  of  the  entry  of  falsified  medicinal  products  into  legal  distribu9on  chain.

Only  joint  ac.on  of  the  profession  may  result  in  seTng  the  best  prac9ce  standards  and  a  monitoring  of  repor9ng  the  phenomenon  by  the  representa9ves  of  the  medical  professions  and  pa9ents  themselves.  Therefore,  global  discussion  on  the  par9cipa9on  of  nurses  and  their  obliga9on  of  guaranteeing  the  safety  of  the  use  of  medicines  appears  indispensable.

The  aim  of  the  presenta9on  is  to  present  possibili9es  to  use  telenursing  in  terms  of  rapid  and  effec9ve  communica9on  with  pa9ents  in  the  communica9on  of  informa9on  on  legal  sources  of  the  purchase  and  safety  of  drugs.

Analysis  of  the  need  for  effec9ve  coopera9on  in  the  field  of  detec9on  of  counterfei9ng  medicines,  and  raising  awareness  and  preven9on  of  this  phenomenon  in  Europe,  and  in  the  world  is  a  very  important  task  in  the  area  of  public  health.    This  is  par9cularly  important  because  of  the  increasing  e-­‐commerce  and  number  of  dispatch  centers,  and  the  increasingly  aggressive  forms  of  adver9sing  in  this  area.

In  Poland,  we  propose  the  inclusion  in  the  electronic  records  of  a  pa.ent  to  record  informa.on  the  side  effects  of  administered  drugs.  Also,  the  pa9ent’s  record  should  include    the  repor9ng  person,  and  it  should  be  send  to  the  appropriate  ins9tu9ons  in  the  country.    A  systema9c  analysis  of  such  data  allows  the  nurse  ,  especially  in  primary  care  to  capture  and  evaluate  the  effec9veness  of  drugs  and  revile  which  drags    are  not  holding  standards.

The  purpose  of  these  ac.vies  is:  -­‐  to  increase  pa,ent  awareness  about  the  dangers  

associated  whith  the  use  of  drags  and  dietary  suplements  of  unknown  origin,    

-­‐  to  outline  a  metodd  of  verifying  the  legality                of  buyig  drags  on  the  Internet,  -­‐  to  outline  presenta9ons  prepared  by  the  

Pharmaceu9cal  Inspector  and  the  WHO  (as  part                of  the  warning  against  counterfeit  drags)

Conclusion:    Assessment  of  behaviour,  level  of  awareness,  and  risks  for  pa9ents  with  regard  to  the      counterfei9ng  of  medicinal  products  is  also  a  very  important  source  of  knowledge  to      shape  future  policies  of  healthcare  

 Why  Telenursing  ?  

 -­‐  Nurse  is  closest  to  the  pa.ent,    -­‐  Pa.ent  trusts  the  nurse,    -­‐  Telenursing  gives  quick  and  correct        informa.on
