Users will feel as if they are actually looking, talking and meeting with each other face to face in the same place, even

though they may be miles apart physically.

INTRODUCTION Tele immersion is a technology that will be allow users in

different geographic locations to come together and interact with each other in a simulated holographic environment as if they are in the same physical room.

It is an integration of 3D audio and video conferencing.

Each user is surrounded by cameras and audio devices to capture his or her body movements.

Overview of Tele-Immersion

Tele-Immersion Architecture

It has three levels:-

3. Displaying Level:- It displays the 3D video streams.

1. Capturing Level:- It consists of a set 3D cameras.

2. Transmission Level:- This receives the compressed 3D video streams.

Main FUNCTIONAL Parts of Tele - Immersion:-

3. Remote data and computational services.:-

2. Tele-immersion server (TIS):-

The data generated by Tele-immersion client managed by Tele-immersion server.

1. Tele-immersion client (TIC):-

It consists of CAVE to allow the participants to Communicate with one another.

It compute the intensive task running on supercomputers .If data is too much large to visualize, it will compress the data & performs specific tasks to visualize the data for another participants.

Challenges of 3D Tele-Immersion Data

Transport challenges:-If resolution of camera is high then it required more bandwidth in Mbps.

Rendering challenges:-Rendering is the transformation of geometric information into images for Display.

Rendering Needs:-

High-Performance Architecture:-

Rendering system must generate image frames at a minimum 20-30 Hz rate.

Generally minimum the bandwidth required up to 30-50 Mbps.

Page 9: Tele immersion

Large network bandwidth requirements.

The realization of Tele-Immersion is Critical today due to:-

The non-availability of high speed networks.

The streaming or reconstruction of audio & video are critical to achieving the feel of Telepresence.

ApplicationInteracting with peoples miles away in a simulated

environment.

Tele-immersion also finds its application in the field of education for distance learning.

Use in Engineering.

Page 11: Tele immersion

Tele-immersion can be of immense use in medical industry like surgery-cal training and diagnosis.

Use in offices for Teleconferencing.

Page 12: Tele immersion

It is conclude that Tele-Immersion is a

fast developing technology and it is going to benefit the

common people. It helps in many fields, it reduces the

travelling time in business other fields .It is the way for

humans, interact with each other . Although it is as good

as "being there", it might be good enough for business

meetings, professional consultations, training sessions,

etc.

Tele-Immersion is a technology that is certainly going

to bring a new revolution in the world.
