Teff is one of the best grains to send to Somalia to help aid them because it is high in nutrients like Protein, Fat , and a wide variety of vitamins and minerals which are essential to life. Protein is essential for muscle growth and fat for energy.

Teff grain could easily be grow in Somalia because of its high tolerance levels for drought, floods, and heat. This could provide Somalia with a steady source of flour, grain, and hay for live stock. All of which could help massively.

Teff flour is better to send as aid because it can be used as grain or as flour.

Teff can be grow in Somalia and can also be double cropped producing grain and hay for animals giving Somalia a good grain supply and meat supply.

Why not send another grain or flour?

Other grains can be sent over there but they may not grow due to the high heat and droughts.

Other grains might have to be enriched with nutrients before they are sent in as aid but that would cost more money to enrich them

Other grains might have to have pesticides and herbacides sprayed on them but not Teff due to its high growth rate it out competes other plants and has very little parasites that eat it.
