Potenziamento Teens on holiday Hi! Hi Nathalie How are you? I’m fine. I’m on holiday with my mum and dad in the south of Italy. We are in Matera. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and there are thousands of tourists here. Matera is a modern town with a population of about 60,000 people. But there’s also a fantastic old town. Guess what? The houses of the old town are in caves 1 in the rock 2 ! The caves are the famous sassi of Matera. Some of the cave houses are 9,000 years old. They’ve got living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens just like 3 normal houses. I’m really lucky because our hotel is in a cave! It’s got eighteen big bedrooms and a restaurant. My parents have got a nice bedroom and a bathroom with a bath and a shower. I’ve got a big bedroom with Wi-Fi and a shower, but there isn’t a TV! It’s very quiet here. Here’s a photo of my hotel. It’s on the Llangollen Canal. The Llangollen Canal is in North Wales and it’s beautiful. I’m with my mum and dad and my brother Michael. It isn’t a very big boat but it’s very comfortable. It’s got one big bedroom for my parents and a small bedroom for Michael and me. There’s a bathroom with a shower, but there isn’t a bath. And there’s a kitchen and living room. There’s a TV and a radio. There are four bicycles on the roof 5 of the boat. The canal is 200 years old and 70 kilometres long. It’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Look!
