TECHNOLOGY MISSION STATEMENT

Henry E. S. Reeves Elementary School’s technology magnet is comprised of an aggressive plan that addresses the challenges

and diverse needs of its students. Technology is an effective tool and an essential component that supports quality education within our “Learning Communities.”

Students will have the opportunity and knowledge to select

appropriate tools (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, technology research skills, graphics and web design), which are aligned with

the curriculum and core subjects, Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science.

Henry E. S. Reeves Elementary School has a great tradition of exemplary teachers, friendly and caring staff, involved parents, and most importantly, WONDERFUL students. We are truly, “A Community of High Achievers!” As we continue to celebrate ex-cellence while building a legacy, our goals continue to be loud and clear—”Raising Student Achievement.” We must continue to set high expectations for our students and provide a safe learn-ing environment. I encourage all parents or guardians to remain active in their child’s education. I welcome your participation in the school improvement process by attending PTA and EESAC committee meetings. By working together, we will make a differ-ence in the lives of all students. Again, I welcome you to Henry E. S. Reeves Elementary School, “Academy of Applied Technol-ogy - Preparing for Success.”

Henry E. S. Reeves Elementary School has a mandatory uniform dress code. School colors must be worn everyday. The school colors are Teal, White, Black, and Gray.

Shirts and Blouses: Shirts and blouses must be continuous from neckline to waist. The entire midsection or part of the midsection cannot show. No tank tops or muscle shirts are permitted. Shirts in school colors with an inappropriate written message are not permitted.

Shoes: Shoes or sneakers must be worn. No sandals or open toe shoes are to be worn by students.

Skirts, Dresses and Shorts: Skirts, dresses, shorts, and skorts should be appropriate for school and approximately knee level.

Pants: Pants should be secured at the waist. Pants sagging below the waist and exposing undergarments is unacceptable.
