Lifebuoy Shampoo is a highly popular product among Sri Lankan consum-ers. “Lifebuoy Computer Wasana”, the latest promo-tional campaign, carried out targeting the Lifebuoy consumers in the country, ended on a high note recently.

Twenty consumers who were selected as lucky win-ners under this promotional campaign were presented with personal computers at a grand ceremony held at the Unilever Sri Lanka Head Office in Colombo.

In order to be part of the promo, consumers had to simply send two empty Lifebuoy sachets to Unile-ver Sri Lanka, with the name and address men-tioned on it. The 25000 entries received during the promo period (from April to May 2013) not only dis-played the level of consum-er trust and loyalty in Life-buoy products but also the interest shown by consum-ers to be part of the promo-

tion. The twenty winners were selected via a lucky draw conducted under the supervision of Public Administration Ministry officials.

Lifebuoy Shampoo Brand Manager Milinda Weerasin-ghe commenting on the impact of the promotional campaign said, “The Life-buoy Shampoo range has been able to successfully dominate the Sri Lankan market during the past dec-ade, winning the trust of consumers.

The reason behind this success story is that the brand has been built on consumer trust.

This promotional cam-paign can be seen as a trib-ute to consumers who have been loyal to the brand thereby helping it maintain

its top position as a hair care brand through the years.”

Unilever Sri Lanka has made Lifebuoy Shampoo products available in three variants (Herbal, Health and Anti-Dandruff) to suit varying consumer needs. These products help to keep hair healthy giving it a silky and smooth appear-ance with the AD variant providing an added benefit of keeping the hair free of dandruff.

“Lifebuoy is among the top Shampoo brands in the country and is quite popu-lar among consumers. This is because the product range is of high quality and priced in such a way that it is affordable by many con-sumers. “Furthermore, our aim is to further develop

the brand for the benefit of our consumers,” said Unile-ver Sri Lanka’s Category Head (Hair Care), Wathsa-la Aluthgedara.

Meanwhile, one of the twenty lucky winners Nis-hantha Kumara Liya-naarachchi of Ambalantota said, he was extremely happy to win a personal computer, being a long-standing Lifebuoy Sham-poo consumer.

Another winner, Dushani Madushika from Seepuku-lama in Panawewa said, she came to know about her win while participating at a leadership training camp in Gannoruwa.

“The news brought me a lot of joy. I am a student of the Sri Jayawardanapura University. I do not have a computer at home.

“When I need to commu-nicate with my husband who is working in South Korea, I go to the internet café in the town. So, this computer will be useful to me in many ways.”
