Our winding cores are designed for various webs and metal foils, paper and tissue quality levels as well as for technical textiles. We design our winding cores for the production of the respective materials as well as for a variety of finishing processes such as siliconizing, coat-ing, metallizing and laminating.

rfid–Wincore®inometa is the first company to offer reusable winding cores with integrated rfid tag .

This effectively supports automated and integrated logistics processes .

In cooperation with Schoeller Supply Chain Technologies, our strategic partner as spe-cialist for RFID-based goods supply chains, we have developed an integrated solution for high-end production and logistics processes with the RFID winding core as a cornerstone. The RFID tag allows for continuous and secure material flow control in realtime, integrated in existing ERP-systems. The loading and unloading time can be significantly reduced because received and dispatched goods can be booked automatically with an error margin that is practically nonexistent.

Additional links of information, for example, the current bale weight, production or dis-tribution data can also be integrated and be analyzed for different site criteria.

A contact-free, automatic identification of the winding material facilitates the integration of effective systems for error prevention and traceability in every production process. So delivered materials can now, for example, be automatically be checked against delivery note at the time of loading. This helps rule out logistic mistakes such as incorrect loading.

The standardWith their narrow tolerances and their high run out tolerance, Inometa’s high-quality aluminum winding cores are the basis for efficient production. Optionally, the cores with a rigidity of approx. 70 GPa can also be hard-anodized (420 HV/ 550 HV). To design our winding cores, we use also the f.e.-method.

standard plusWinCore© Standard Plus winding cores offer customized inserts for every chuck system at the core ends and a consistent inner dia meter. According to your requirements, we manu facture inserts made of different kinds of materials, e. g. for a core dimension of (o.d. x i.d.) 172 mm x 152.8 mm.

The individual coreInometa’s composite winding cores are tailored to meet the individ-ual requirements of the customer’s application. They are made of fiber composites. Because of their light net weight and high mechanical stability, they are ideal for thermally-critical en-vironments. The thermal expansion of the composite winding cores can be adjusted over a wide temperature range. In extreme cases, the thermal expansion can be set to zero.

Winding cores made of composite materials are used primarily for printing on metal foil and special films as are used, e. g., for LCD ap-plications. With composite cores, wafer-thin webs of a few µm thick-ness can be wound up without creases or bruising.

The strong coreThe longitudinally welded precision steel tubes offer a high degree of rigidity which make them extremely suitable for use in robust pro-duction environments. High quality and even wall thicknesses en-sure compliance with very tight tolerances while at the same time providing optimum rotation characteristics. Inometa’s steel winding cores have a very homogeneous structure due to a special manu-facturing process.

The economic coreWinding cores made of high quality technical plastic (PVC, partially PP) offer a number of relevant advantages when compared with simple cardboard cores. The plastic cores help protect the quality of the winding material, for they are extremely pressure-resistant, even with thin wall thicknesses. In addition, they are corrosion-proof and mois-ture-resistant. They have great mechanical characteristics which provide a clean and dustfree production environment. This is greatly appreciated, especially in the pharmaceutical industry. The plastic core is an extremely cost-effective solution for the finishing industry.

Plastic cores with different inner structures such as grooved (G) or smooth (S) can be used in practically any clamping scenario. Due to their reusability, their use is particularly economical. And recycling is simple and straightforward, too.
