FSSC 22000-Q

FSSC 22000 certified organizations can voluntarily

choose to give their customer the high level of

confidence in ISO 9001 certification that comes

with the rigor and oversight of FSSC 22000

FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 can be assessed as

an integrated management system called

FSSC 22000-Q

The FSSC 22000 Quality Module

• Voluntary integration of two management

standards

• Full integration of ISO 9001 with FSSC 22000

• Scope: Food safety and food quality

Scope of certification

Scope of certification

• Food and feed safety

• Food and feed quality

• Safety and quality combined in one scope

statement

• The combined scope is showed on the certificate

• The combined scope is audit scope

Food Chain Category – NACE

The food chain category is used for:

• Defining that the scope statement is within the

FSSC 22000 scope of certification

• Defining auditor qualification

• Defining audit time calculation

Food Chain Category

ISO 9001 uses the NACE code to define the food chain category

Because the FSSC 22000 scope of certification is limited to food, only three NACE codes can be used for the FSSC 22000-Q certification

Reference: IAF ID 1:2014

NACE code

The food chain category shown on the certificate

to support the scope statement is the ISO 22003,

Annex B, food chain category.

The NACE code can also be shown on the

certificate but is not mandatory.
