Due to clutch kits being produced in several different countries, there are various languages explaining which way round the clutch friction plate needs to be fitted. This bulletin has been produced to address these issues and what the person fitting it will see when determining the orientation of the friction plate. CAMBIO LATO / LATO CAMBIO – Gearbox side On clutch kits produced in Italy or for vehicles manufactured in Italy, CAMBIO LATO or LATO CAMBIO will be found on the friction plate. This is the side that is needed to be fitted facing towards the gearbox. Right is a picture of a typical clutch friction plate and how LATO CAMBIO will appear. Getriebeseite – Gearbox side On clutch kits produced in Germany or for vehicles manufactured in Germany, Getriebeseite will be found on the friction plate. This is the side that is needed to be fitted facing towards the gearbox. Right is a picture of a typical clutch friction plate and how Getriebeseite will appear. Motorseite – Engine side Also, on several clutch kits produced in Germany or for vehicles manufactured in Germany, Motorseite will be found stamped on the friction plate.
