1. EDGE BANDINGS
1.1. PAPER 1.1.1 Monostrato The Monostrato edges are products made from a single layer of paper having an initial basis weight of 155 or 180 gsm. The possible decors are countless, you can reproduce all the types of wood, patterns and solid colors. The printed paper is impregnated with urea-acrylic resins and coated on the surface with different gloss lacquers. And it is possible to imitate the finishes of melamine chipboard by the embossing operation (with an extra cost). The high quality coating lacquer give to Monostrato an excellent resistance to light and therefore an adequate stability in time of the color tone. The surface is easy to clean. The standard Monostrato is indicated for edging the straight parts of chipboard or MDF. The consistency of the cardboard offers a good coverage of the irregularities of the panel and has an appearance very similar to a real wood. The structure of the back of the cardboard allows the application with the whole range of adhesives which are on the market: Hot Melti glue EVA-based, polyolefin and polyurethane. If necessary, the Monostrato can be provided pre-glued on the back with Hot Melt glue. The product is suitable for standard internal furniture application. The product is not waterproof.

1.2 LAMINATE 1.2.1 Laminex The Laminex is the classical laminate edge-banding used for coating all types of coated panel (chipboard, MDF and plywood). The most used thickness is 0.4 mm, composed of a decorative and a support, both impregnated with melamine resin, between which is interposed a layer of vegetable parchment that performs a flexibilizing function. The layers of impregnated paper and the parchment are laminated with the CPL (Continuous Pressure Laminate) technology in continuous presses at pressures ranging between 20 and 30 bar and temperatures of 170-190 ° C. The combined action of pressure and temperature causes the reaction of the melamine resin and the consequent "packing" of the layers of paper to form the laminate. On exit from the laminating, the laminate is sanded on the back and collected in coil. The melamine impregnation ensures to the edge-bandng an excellent resistance to mechanical abrasion and to the products normally used for the cleaning. The laminated board also has a high water repellency. Among the characteristics of the laminated edge-banding, it is that of being able to imitate all the decors used for the coating of the panel, and many of the finishes. It is used in fact the same decorative paper used in the production of laminated panel. The Laminex can be produced with a melamine overlay on th decor as to permit its mechanical sanding pre-varnishing without damaging the same decorative; on customer request, the laminate can be produced with protective film. To whom the Laminex can be proposed? • To whom should edge "straight" or slightly curved laminated panels; • To whom needs to have a high coverage of panel defects; • To whom wants to use an edge-banding made of the same decorative and finishing of the panel to
be edged; • To whom needs to order not too high quantities, but not less than 250 square meters.

1.2.3 Laminex LAC The laminex LAC is a laminate edge-banding suitable for the coating of straight finished panels rightsto be adressed to subsequent lacquering or over-varnishing. All the papers that make it up are impregnated with thermoplastic resins that give it and excellent chemical and mechanical resistance. It can be realized directly in the CPL laminator in various thicknesses from 0.4 mm to 1.00 mm, and if you want higher thicknesses, they can be obtained by joining together in the plant various layers by polyurethane glueing. The value of Laminex LAC is due to its compactness: you can lacquer without the problem of "blowing" on the corner that often occurs with similar products. Furthermore, the thickness and the compactness allow the user to accomplish, for thicknesses greater than 0.8 mm, the milling with a pleasant effect of rounding. The Laminex LAC is a very technical product to be offered to customers who have a lot of experience and expertise in the operations of edging and lacquering. To whom the Laminex LAC can be proposed? • To all lacquered furniture manufacturers who want an edge-banding similar to the polyester without
having the problems of varnishing on the corner; • For those who need to make the surface pre-painting sanding in line and not in external plants; • For those who need to sand during any of the operations of edging (for example: sand any smear of
paint) • For those who want more coverage of defects of the panel with the same thickness compared to PE

1.2.4 Cover LAC
Cover LAC is the latest born in the category of unfinished products to be varnished. It is made by impregnating a support of 155 gsm with particular thermoplastic resins 155 g / and a decor of 70 gsm, the two layers are then laminated with the CPL technology. The quality of the impregnation resins combined with a thickness not exceeding 0.26 mm, allow to Cover LAC to obtain bending radius comparable to those of the products for the doors profiles. A very important feature of Cover LAC is the coverage, thanks to its compactness, it manages to mask imperfections of the more and more poor woods used to realize jambs and wires covers. Flexibility, coverage and over varnishability make the Cover LAC an absolutely unique product. To whom the CoverLAC can be proposed? • To all doors manufacturers and subcontractors which coat jambs and wires covers;
• To manufacturers of honey comb doors that need a product that has a good coverage (better

3.2 Thin Flex extra flexible laminate for coating
The Thin Flex is a laminate for coating constituted by a single layer of decorative paper. This particular composition is required to give it its exceptional flexibility: it can coat profiles with bending radius ≥ 1. The spreading realized with melamine resin gives it a rather good resistance to chemicals and stains. Being composed of a single layer of paper, its thickness is very low. If you want to increase it without losing the characteristics of flexibility, it can be laminated it supporting it with a layer of non-woven fabric. Attention must be paid to the fact that, not being impregnated with melamine resins only, the Thin Flex can imitate all the finishes of melamine panel but it can not perfectly imitate the color of the panel. The "deviation" is normally a slight color change to yellow for the white colours and a bleaching, on the contrary, for the black. Always because of the peculiarities of the used resins, the decors that can be used should not have an initial weight above 80 gsm. To whom the Thin Flex can be proposed? • To whom wants to cover with a laminate product the profiles with bending radius ≥ 1 mm; • Supported with the non-woven fabric, it can be offered to those who realize the folden; • To whom that has to coat frames, skirtings, etc.

3.2 THIN FLEX ultra-thin laminate for coating
1.- Product Class
Laminate for coating characterized by high flexibility.
2.- Description
Thin Flex is obtained laminating a layer of decorative paper which is previously impregnated with particular thermo-plastic resins and then the surface is spreaded with melamine resin. The particular characteristics of the resin used for the impregnation give the product a unique flexibility in its field and the melamine surface assures a good resistance against the superficial wear and tear
To increase the thickness of the product without touching the characteristics of flexibility, you can laminate doubling with a layer of non-woven fabric (tnt).
3.- Advantages
• Superficial melamine coating that has a high chemical resistance, • Possibility to repeat all the decors of the melamine-laminated panels • Applicability by different plants (we always recommend to the customer to test first)
4.- Applications
Thin Flex is an extremely flexible product suitable to coat all kinds of profiles (frame, skirting, door-jamb, staff-bead and so on) and vertical surfaces (doors and so on).
It can be applied on chipboards, MDF and plywoods using all the usual gluing processes
To avoid any delamination problem, we advise that the initial gramage of the decorative paper is lower than 80gr/mm
The product is suitable for all standard uses in interior furnishings. The product is not waterproof.
Application with glues
• Applicability with all kinds of glue used in the coating field; we recommend to test first, to check the plant conditions according to the quality of the gluing.

3.3 Thin Top post formable laminate for surfaces
The post formable Thin Top is a laminate produced with PLC technology particularly suitable for the coating of flat surfaces either horizontal or vertical. It is obtained by laminating a decorative paper impregnated with melamine resin, with several layers of phenolic support. The number of used phenolic substrates determines the thickness of the laminate: from a minimum of 0.4 mm to 1.8 mm. It is the phenolic substrate that gives the Thin Top the characteristics of post formability in hot condition. To realize a laminate with special fireproof characteristics phenolic substrates produced and certified for this purpose must be used. The Thin Top is intended for covering flat surfaces particularly subject to wear, such as the tops of the kitchens and the desktops, it can be realized by superimposing to a décor a melamine overlay which increases its abrasion resistance. The Thin Top can be realized both in reels and in sheets using as decorative also a real aluminum foil or a decor printed with digital technology. In this case we are talking about Thin Top Digit which, accompanied by a special MED certificate, can be used in the shipbuilding furniture sector. Thanks to specific additives added in impregnation and coating, Thin Top antibacterical has a real bactericidal action, while these specific additives reduce the accumulation of electrostatic charges on Thin Top antistatic surface. The youngest product belonging to post formable laminates is Thin top anti-imprint As for all the other post formable Thin Top laminates, the Thin Top anti-imprint is obtained laminating a specific decorative paper with several layers of phenolic supports depending on the required thickness. The decorative paper is subjected to specific surface treatments that give it lipofobe characteristics, for example fingermark doesn’t appear on the surface. Any possible little marks can be easily cleaned.
To whom the Thin Top can be proposed?
• To all the customers who have to coat flat surface sand / or vertical with the need for post-formability; • In the version with overlay, to whom covers worktops subject to wear (450 taber laps);
• To whom needs high thickness laminate (max 1,8 mm);
• Thin Top anti-imprint has to be proposed for coating piece of furniture frequently used which are in
contact with fingers or with oily and greasy products, like table for kitchen, desk, shutter, front dresser, etc.…
• Thin Top antistatic has to be used in all rooms in which electrostatic charges must be avoided
• Thin Top antibacterial is perfect for furnishing public places like hospitals, laboratories, public
toilets, etc ...
