The environment plays a very important role in cycling. While exercising, every rider truly respects the nature that surrounds him. To be environmentally friendly and to promote the territory are two of the main characteristics of the cycling movement and a philosophy endorsed by the organizers of the major events.The project "Recycling" was born along these guide lines: the International Cycling Union sets the environmentally friendly basis to be respected by the organizers for a future full of enthusiasm in the respect of nature.

The project, successfully created by Cycling Sport Promotion in 2012, is sponsored by national and local institutions: the Ministry for the Environment, the Ministry for the Defense of the Territory and Sea, the Lombardy Region, Varese City Council, the Mountain Community of the Verbano Valleys, the GAL of Lakes and Mountains, the GAL of Verbano Valleys and Cittiglio City Council. These authorities carried out lots of initiatives in this direction last year Including:

� Waste disposal at the event and street cleaning

� Volunteers dedicated to manage the Recycling Project

� Use of ecological stationery and eco-friendly materials � Road Safety

� Development of the athletes’ and engineers’ awareness of the environment around the venue of the event

� Presentation of the Recycling project to the schools with references to environmentally friendly practices such as the bicycle, a sustainable mean of transport

� Promotion of the territory and its natural beauty and disclosure of its typical products

� Special selection of accommodation facilities that combine cultural notes with respect of the environment (farms, eco-hotels)

� Roads and transport (promotion of the use of electric cars and train to reach Cittiglio, in collaboration with Trenord)

For the first time in Italy and also in 2013, the Cycling Sport Promotion is organizing the women World Cup fully adopting the Recycling project guide lines. This is an important opportunity to propose the cycling events as active promotion and development of the territory where they take place.

AUTOMEZZI AL SEGUITO - ADMITTED VEHICLES

Potranno seguire la corsa solo le persone accreditate all’atto del ritiro dei contrassegni. Eventuali modi-fiche o aggiunte devono essere notificate al Direttore di Organizzazione. I conducenti delle auto e delle moto accreditate devono rispettare le norme del Codice della Strada e del regolamento tecnico dell’UCI e devono altresì sottostare alle disposizioni del Direttore di Organizzazione e dei suoi collaboratori. Non possono seguire la corsa persone che non vi abbiano funzioni riconosciute dagli organizzatori e inerenti ai servizi vari, né persone di minore età.Tutti i veicoli al seguito della gara dovranno essere muniti di radio collegate alla frequenza di Radio Tour 149,850 Mhz.Le radio verranno distribuite ai Teams a cura dell’Organizzatore dalle ore 14.00 alle ore 17.00 di sabato 23 marzo 2013 presso il parcheggio Comune di Cittiglio. The drivers of the accredited cars and motorbikes have to respect the rule of Highway Code and the technical rules of UCI. They also have to follow the dispositions of the Race Director and his collaborators. People, whose functions have not been recognized by the or-ganizers and inherent to the various services, as well as youngest people cannot follow the raceAll vehicles admitted to follow the race must be provided of radio connected to the frequency of Radio Tour 149.850 Mhz.The radios will be distributed to teams from the organizer from 14.00 to 17.00 of Saturday 23 March 2013 in the parking of Comune di Cittiglio.

AMBIENTE - ENVIRONMENT

Il Trofeo Binda è un evento armoniosamente integrato con l’ambiente per promuovere una immagine più verde del ciclismo. La nostra gara aderisce al programma reCycling dell’UCI, sviluppando in tutte le com-ponenti dell’Organizzazione, procedure ed iniziative rivolte a salvaguardare l’ambiente ed a promuovere una cultura ecologica nel territorio e nelle componenti della manifestazione.

Per minimizzare il negativo impatto sull’ambiente e i danni che l’evento può causare al territorio nel quale si svolge la corsa, abbiamo predisposto:- nella zona di rifornimento fisso dei contenitori per i rifiuti che invitiamo i Teams ad utilizzare;- una brochure informativa per ogni atleta che sensibilizza a non abbandonare rifiuti, involucri di ciba-rie o borracce ed illustra il percorso di gara al fine di favorire una maggiore sicurezza in corsa delle atlete;- dei bidoni per la raccolta differenziata posizionati nelle singole aree di interesse della manifestazio-ne (permanence, parcheggio team, aree di partenza ed arrivo).

Trofeo Binda is an event harmoniously integrated into the environment to promote a greener image of cycling. Our race has been awarded by UCI of the label reCycling, developing in every part of the Organization ini-tiatives to protect the environment and promote e greener culture in the region and in all the stakeholders.To minimize the negative environmental impact and the damage that the event could cause to the envi-ronment of the region in which the race takes place we have provided:- feeding zone with waste containers which we invite all the Teams to use.- Informative brochure for each rider clearing up not to throw litters, food packagings or bottles and explaining the route race to improve the safety of the riders thanks a better known of the technical race points.- Bins for waste collection will be positioned in the different areas of the event (race headquarters, team parking, start and finish zone)

CERIMONIA PROTOCOLLARE - AWARD CEREMONY

Ai sensi dell’articolo 1.2.112 del regolamento UCI devono presentarsi alla cerimonia protocollare i seguenti corridori :-Le prime tre (3) classificate della prova-La leader della classifica generale individuale della Coppa del Mondo Le suddette atlete si devono presentare entro cinque (5) minuti dal loro arrivo. I premi verranno consegnati alle prime 20 classificate in base al montepremi UCI indicato nel Regolamen-to particolare di Corsa. COME ARRIVARE A CITTIGLIO E LAVENO MOMBELLO - HOW TO REACH CITTIGLIO AND LAVENO MOMBELLO IN AUTO:PER CHI VIENE DA SUD - EST: da Milano si imbocca l’autostrada dei laghi A8, a Gallarate (VA) si pren-de la direzione Genova – Gravellona Toce (A26) e si esce a Vergiate – Sesto Calende. Da lì si seguono i cartelli che indicano Lago Maggiore – Besozzo – Laveno percorrendo la SS. 629.Da Como si segue per Varese e da Varese si segue per Gavirate – Laveno (SS. 394).Dalla Malpensa seguire per Somma Lombardo e Vergiate, poi imboccare la SS. 629 seguendo Lago Mag-giore – Besozzo – Laveno.

PER CHI VIENE DA SUD – OVEST: provenendo dal Piemonte è possibile prendere il traghetto da Verba-nia (VB) e attraversare il Lago Maggiore (circa 20 minuti) giungendo a Laveno (VA). Quindi imboccare la SS. 629 che conduce a Cittiglio (circa 4 Km).Oppure, se si giungesse dalle provincie interne o a sud del Piemonte è possibile prendere l’autostrada A26 fino a Vergiate – Sesto Calende e poi seguire i cartelli che indicano Lago Maggiore – Laveno – Be-sozzo, percorrendo la SS. 629.

PER CHI PROVIENE DA NORD: dalla Svizzera superare la frontiera di Fornasette e una volta a Luino, seguire i cartelli per la Valcuvia – Mesenzana – Cuveglio – Cittiglio. Indi procedere in direzione Laveno.Sempre dalla Svizzera è possibile superare la frontiera di Zenna, quindi seguire le indicazioni per Macca-gno – Luino e procedere come sopra.Da Lugano giungere fino ad Agno (CH), dove si trova anche l’aeroporto e poi seguire per Ponte – Tresa e Luino. Procedere poi come sopra.

IN TRENO:Cittiglio e Laveno Mombello sono raggiungibili in treno con le Ferrovie Nord Milano, da Milano, da Como, e da Varese. Con le Ferrovie dello Stato è possibile giungere fino a Laveno o fino a Varese e poi cambiare stazione prendendo le Ferrovie Nord per giungere a Cittiglio o Laveno Mombello (capolinea).

BY CAR:FOR PEOPLE COMING FROM SOUTH - EAST: from Milan, take the highway A8, in Gallarate (VA) take the direction Genova-Gravellona Toce (A26) exit Vergiate-Sesto Calende.From there follow the road signs Lago Maggiore-Besozzo-Laveno on SS.629.From Como direction Varese and from Varese follow Gavirate-Laveno (SS. 394). FOR PEOPLE COMING FROM SOUTH-WEST: coming from Piedmont region, it is possible to take the ferry-boat from Verbania (VB) and cross Lago Maggiore (20 minutes approx.) reaching Laveno (VA). Then take SS. 629 to Cittiglio (4 Km approx).Or, if you come from the inside towns or south of the Piedmont, it is possible to take the higway A26 up to Vergiate-Sesto Calende and then follow road signs Lago Maggiore-Laveno-Besozzo, on SS. 629.

FOR PEOPLE COMING FROM NORTH: from Switzerland, overcome the Fornasette border and when reached Luino, follow road signs Valcuvia-Mesenzana-Cuveglio-Cittiglio.Then go on in direction Laveno.Always from Switzerland it is possible to overcome the Zenna border, follow road signs for Maccagno-Luino and go on as above stated.From Lugano reach Agno (CH), where there is also the airport and then to follow to Ponte Tresa and Lui-no. Then go on as above stated.

BY TRAIN:Cittiglio and Laveno can be reached with Ferrovie Nord, from Milan, Como, and Varese. With Ferrovie del-lo Stato it’s possible to reach Laveno or Varese, and then take Ferrovie Nord to reach Cittiglio or Laveno (end of the line).
